IMO there must be "more to the story" when it comes to Johansen. People's opinions on him seem to change very quickly. The way that "top line" and whole team has looked after the 1st 30-35 min of game 1 is VERY concerning. Even as they continued to put up points, they've looked bad and WE LOSE GAMES OVER AND OVER. I'm not gonna get into it with the Wennberg "hype" but we should have NEVER moved Anisimov. Not only have "we waited for a top line center for 10+ years" we also waited for legit center depth throughout the lineup. We HAD that last year. You people still wanna refer to it as the Saad/Dano trade, and claim that "Anisimov was gone after his last contract anyway", but a SKILLED AND VERY GOOD DEFENSIVELY RESPONSIBLE CENTER should have never been moved off this team. He should have been resigned.

NOBODY has even brought up the idea that losing Anisimov might actually be a HUGE factor in this losing streak to start the year. It was brought up by 1 of our Russian's that Arty and Bob's wives were very close. I'm going to GUESS, so were Bob and Arty. Not to mention Anisimov was also probably our best PKer. Also if you've caught any recent CHI games they are using Arty in another 1 of his underappreciated roles that he played here from time to time, VERY WELL. In front of the net on the PP. While we throw Clarkson and Bourque out front on our PP's. You people don't want to admit it BUT THIS IS THE 1 MAIN THING THAT CHANGED FROM LAST YEAR. The idea that Saad (or Johansen) CANT be the problem is crazy to me. Boll, Clarkson, Bourque and Prout are NOT good NHL hockey players. They also are NOT the main reason why we are not only losing, BUT LOOKING LIKE ABSOLUTE **** WHILE LOSING.

Trade the ****in golden boy. He is a ****ing infection. Package him with Saad if you can throw Clarkson in there to clear cap. The idea that there is a connection with Johansen putting up points and the CBJ winning is CLEARLY FALSE.

And you people want MORE Johansen's!?!?

I'm starting to lose it with A LOT of you people. IT SHOULD BE:

THE BLUEJACKETS

NOT

RYAN JOHANSEN and the bluejackets

You better believe there's more to all this Johansen ****. AND THE MAIN PROBLEM!?!?! The reason's these things are probably "kept hidden" is so baby boy doesn't get MORE DISGRUNTLED. EVEN MORE reason to trade his ***** ass.

Why didn't we keep and build around Zherdev?? And why was he treated the way he was by most of you? A more skilled player than Johansen. Hell Anisimov is more skilled AND better defensively AND plays a more important position than Saad.

k...

They're not.

Falk, Heatherington, Yevenko, Bodnarchuk probably aren't (maybe Bodnarchuk). Paliotta and Kukan might be better than what we're running out there right now.

I think a big reason we're not seeing these guys is because the team can't send Prout/Connauton/Goloubef down without potentially losing them, and they, rightly or not, still think they might be something in the future. I don't think it's entirely because they're convinced Dalton Prout is one of the six best defensemen in the organization.

Forgive me I missed the context. I actually do think some of these guys could play better for us than Connauton/Prout. By the way, "Prout/Connauton/Goloubef" is not a thing. Goloubef is not a problem.

Yeah, didn't mean to imply he was a problem, just that he's one who might have been sent to the AHL if he could have been (as evidenced by him being a healthy scratch the first few games). I think Tyutin and Johnson have been the biggest problems lately, apart from 47/4, but the org seems to be ride-or-die with them in a way they aren't with Cody.

Wasn't somebody in the Blackhawks locker room good at making friends with other players wifes? So I don't think that has had any effect.

If Bobrovski's wife can only mingle with Russian people and her man is contracted to play ice hockey in the Americas for who knows how long, I would say it's about time to extend their circles beyond fellow comrades. Another positive side to the Saad coup.

Blues forwards falling like dominoes to injury. Time is right to put together a package to bring Shattenkirk to CBJ. # mutualinterest

Blues Lose Schwartz For Three Months

Blues forward Jaden Schwartz suffered a leg injury at practice on Friday and ominous preliminary reports were confirmed this morning, as St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Jeremy Rutherford indicates that Schwartz had ankle surgery and will be lost for three months.

This is another significant injury for St. Louis, who lost center Paul Stastny earlier in the week with a broken foot and Patrik Berglund for the first half of the season with a shoulder injury.

Schwartz has scored 20+ goals the last two seasons and is part of their most effective offensive line with Jori Lehtera and Vladimir Tarasenko. The Blues will now have to rely more on David Backes, Alex Steen and veteran depth players like Steve Ott, Scott Gomez and Scottie Upshall to pick up some of the scoring slack or could pursue a trade if they struggle.

"You guys" would not, no. "You guys" think Johansen is God's gift to hockey. "You guys" don't know what you're talking about. "You guys" don't even care if the team wins as long as Johansen gets his minutes and meaningless points. "You guys" don't understand hockey. "You guys" think scoring goals is the only thing there is. "You guys" can't see due to your blind fanboyism.

Hint:
You're asking the wrong "guys."

Lol. Sounds like the Blues fans with Pietrangelo. However I don't think he is irreplaceable now with Parayko on the team. Think the Blues would be a better team with Johansen than with Pietrangelo. What would the Blues need to add for this deal to go through?

Steen - Johansen - Tarasenko
Schwartz - Stastny - Fabbri
Sobotka - Lehtera - Jaskin
Upshall - Brodziak - Reaves

That's just sick.

Great insight on the problems, I appreciate the well put together thoughts on this subject.
