Wolfpack had an all red jersey with navy and white stripes and it was a technicolor nightmare.

What was the reason for the change?

My understanding was it had to do with the third jersey program. Most of the third jerseys in general have been a dark color and teams wear them at home instead of on the road. This forced road teams to travel with an extra set of equipment and uniforms since they could run into a situation where they might have to wear white because the home team is wearing their thirds. The switch to white on the road eliminated this problem.

I think the only teams in recent years to have a white third jersey were the leafs and stars, they were the exception to the general rule. The devils had that white retro jersey but they seemed to only wear it against the other local teams that go home after the game anyways.

I do think it makes for sense for the Broadway Blueshirts to wear blue shirts on Broadway, but I agree that it'd be cool to see them bust out the white jerseys at home several times a year. They are my favorite uniform in all of sports. I remember clearly they did this for Cally's 4 goal game vs. the Flyers.

Before they add new jersey's they should sell the actual jerseys that they wear. Remember when they came out with the new liberty, starting selling it, and the next game changed something with the numbers to make it easier to see on TV?

This is pretty nice except for the huge taboo of the waist stripes. The triple stripe design is sacred, just like it is for the Blackhawks and Oilers. Two stripes and now it looks like Montreal. I'd ditch these waist stripes entirely.

Those are nice too but my favorite all time is the white liberty jerseys. Also, the retro Jets' jersey (white) I saw last night in the stands behind Gallant is REALLY nice. Their old logo is so great.
