Fair but your window is not going to last long enough to see Bolduc pay dividends unless you think he’s ready next year. Saw every minute of the game last night. Offense can be lethal at any moment they decide to turn it on but defense is way to weak to compete with Colorado unless it was an off night which it definitely could have been. Dont know...

How about addressing a need with those assets? I get why you want Bolduc, but no way is he available for an guy who would be way overpaid on our 4th line and yet another RHD.

Makes no sense to us what so ever. That is just pissing away assets to piss away assets, due to “window”. Got a number 2 LHD available, then we can talk. But this trade is terrible waste of assets.

the problem is not Girard but the balance between the styles of defenders, the avalanche has too many offensive defenders (and too many lefties). Moreover Girard would form an excellent duo with Dobson and for a long time. But I have no problem keeping it for another 10 years.

Girard isn't the right fit for the Isles and for Dobson. Dobson's offensive game is more advanced than his defensive game so he needs a sturdy defensive partner to cover for him so he's free to do his thing. If 9nly Greene was 10 years younger, he's a great fit. While they got off to a bumpy start, the Chara-Dobson pairing worked very well once the light went off for Dobson.

While not as talented as Girard, the Isles do have Sebastian Aho as their dimunitive offensive PP specialist type already in the lineup these days. The Isles need someone like Hampus Lindholm to pair with Dobson, not Girard.

Dobson is not a better offensive D than Barrie. Not yet, at any rate.
Bourgault is a guy I can see the Oilers parting with. Not sure Petrov has much trade value yet. Let him develop and we'll see.

Cool. Barrie has been hurt. I stand by my assessment until Dobson can prove he is a better offensive D-man over more than half a COVID, injury ridden season.

Mayfield is an asset that NYI could use to improve an area of weakness. RHD are covered in the nhl and they have already paid Pulloch and will need to pay Dobson this offseason. He’s on track for around 16 goals and 45 points playing over 20 minutes a game on average. Have to think he gets something in the $6 mill range.

if the isles can move Mayfield to fill a need up front or on the left side as Greene and Chara are nearing the end and Aho is more of a 3rd pairing LHD that’s an option for them. Would be a hockey trade. Don’t see the need to move Beauvellier unless it’s a hockey trade.
