It’s the role that needs to be filled. It’s a complete no brainier of a call up.That's great and all, but I'd rather see the prospect get games over the career AHLer
What This Means for You:
Our team is working with Xenforo Cloud to recover data using backups, sitemaps, and other available resources. We know this is frustrating, and we deeply regret the impact on our community. We are taking steps with Xenforo Cloud to ensure this never happens again. This is work in progress. Thank you for your patience and support as we work through this.

Yeah. Zero issue with it.Huh
I get the love for Lee
But I didn't think there'd be so much hate for Malott
I actually think he's the perfect call up and may surprise some people, never mind just straight up being a good soldier and hungry dude who has earned it.
I don't like that it's vs. Colorado but he's got a rep as a good defensive forward not just a scrapper and he has at least AHL scoring touch. He may also be a little bit of a late bloomer given he graduated into covid and didn't get much of a chance to 'make it' before. I've really liked his game on the Reign. He's a bit of an old 'rookie' but there are probably worse tweeners on the bottom lines of NHL teams.
Lee is overmatched physically, Studnicka is a nobody, Fagemo is a bust. Malott can at least play a similar game to Jeannot.
I went to Bakersfield, once
Tl;dr Kings planning for preseason next year, with a few neutral sites (Bakersfield, Boise, etc). Dates seem mostly tentative.
Johnny Dangerously reference ftw

You fargin' icehole. I'm going to put your bells in a sling!Fargin' bastich!
Merle Haggard would disagree.Sold a home there once for a friend
The neighbors were begging me to come back and do more
But there was no amount of money in the world that could get me to go back there on purpose
Sorry to any present company that may live in Bako, you're just built different. It's like if they took 1990s Fontana and dropped it in the Midwest 100 miles from anyone.
Hey now. Leave the Midwest out of this. It's March here and we are getting snow on Sunday... It's currently 73 degrees...Sold a home there once for a friend

Feel like Lee should even get a shot over Thomas, whose been completely invisible and lackluster this whole season when he's played. At least Lee has the size, which would make our 4th line tough to play against with Helenius. Definitely in agreement over Lewis though, the team is noticeably weaker with him in the lineup. He always seems to get exposed out there, especially when matched against the opposition's 1st or 2nd lines. With Lewis in the lineup and on-ice:
26 wins, 26 losses
46.67 CF% 9GF 17GA 34% GF%, 48%xgf%
With Lewis out of the lineup/team with Lewis off-ice:
14 wins, 6 losses
54.45 CF% 133GF, 92GA 59% GF%, 55%xgf%
At some point you stop asking why...like with Jack Johnsons +/- or Copleys inexplicable wins...and just remove the issue. Lewis is unplayable at this point. Play Thomas and Malott over him. Maybe even Lee if you have to go that deep. Put him in a f***ing suit to let him be around the team, like the other unplayable turd, Burroughs.
Lewis goes to the right places, does the right things but has lost his speed. At least by the eye test which puts him a fraction behind the play. That’s all the opposition needs now a day. Put a speedy Turcotte in his place and the difference is noticeable.Feel like Lee should even get a shot over Thomas, whose been completely invisible and lackluster this whole season when he's played. I stopped caring about Lewis playing because the truth is they would rather have Dewey and Lewy statues and family Christmas parties than ice the most competitive team possible.Funny you mention that...Thomas is one of the larger victims of the Trevor Lewis Experience.
Thomas and Lewis together:
39.75% CF%
0 GF, 4 GA = 0 GF%
38.4% xGF%
Thomas without Lewis:
54.91% CF%
4 GF, 4GA = 50% GF%
61.27% xGF%
passes the smell test too.
Replace Lewis with Thomas until Turcotte is back, at least, I'd be thrilled with Malott-Helenius-Thomas at this point and replace with Jeannot and Turcotte when health permits.
