The price is fine obviously, but no one is going to want an $11M+ AAV 30+ year old goalie if he even declines in the slightest and having one right now doesn't make this team win anything. You pay that and acquire the goaltender to win, but the Kings aren't winning anything after making the deal and they certainly aren't recouping anything paid.

The whole 4th line was sat, not just Turcotte. Lewis only had 2 more shifts than Turcotte in the game and those were on the PK. Jeannot only took 4 more shifts than the 4th line.
This isn't a thing.
Other than shortening the bench in an early-season f***show.

Kuemper’s night should have Ben over after that one. Turcotte has been one of our better players this year. If Fiala got sat for every screwup we would never see him.

Turcotte had 12 shifts today, just as he had 12 shifts on Saturday - and 11 shifts on Thursday.
Nobody was sat, its the same approach from game to game. The shifts length was shorter today, but that more on the chaotic nature of the penalties and uneven flow. Ottawa's 4th line played even a little less than the Kings' today.
There are a lot of things to be worried about with this organization - and some things to be angry as hell about. But, Lewis, Burroughs, the 4th lines ice time, Laferriere on the first line and PP1 are not among them - yet these are getting the lions share of the bitching around here and it's showing a lack of perspective. These things are just nothing to complain about.
There is a new system, a large amount of new players, a #7d getting full minutes due to losing the #1d, and most importantly, a shift in approach from passive hanging-on to an aggressive tone and not everybody is up to speed yet. This is going to be an important year for this organization as it transitions away from the past to the future. The beginning was always going to hurt, no matter how long it took for them to finally integrate the kids. Its perfectly fine to see Byfield and Clarke struggle to be responsible players in those roles.

But they’re tougher and more entertaining than they have been in several years and the “kids” are finally getting significant minutes in key roles.
This season should’ve happened 2 years ago, and it’s happening too late to get 8 and 11 on the Cup a third time but better late than never.
The fear now is that Hiller moves Byfield back to wing and reimplements the 1-3-1 to chase a playoff spot. As long as that doesn’t happen I can live with the losses.

Let's not forget he also had an egregious give-away in preseason that resulted in a goal against. Everyone is cheering for Turcotte to catch fire, but he's effectively a rookie making some rookie mistakes.

Kinda weird that he's gonna basically be sitting on ass for a year, but I've really liked his calls. Seems like a great choice to replace Nick. Hopefully Jim goes too and they start over with all fresh blood.

I agree with you to a point, but it's the inequitable management that people are mad about, justifiably, for years.
Stay the course with what you have developing and stop with the shiny toys model, but that how Luc operates as he thinks that's a winning formula

In other interesting news....Kings call up Jacob Ingham from ECHL to Reign. Why? Copley just had a nice win....but Portillo gave up 5 in his only game...and Kuemper just gave up 8 with Kings.
Is there an impending trade? Why are they doing this? I wonder if Mike Buckley has been consulted and he wants to see Ingham and work more closely with him. I thought Ingham has looked very good and was unfortunate when he had his long term injury. Something's up.

FSW/Balleys has always gone with 720p upscaled, that's why it can look soft at times. I've seen some of the other teams quality look way worse, like 480p upscaled . ESPN/TNT/TBS all are at 1080p and look way better. The issues with BSW is the cost, 1080p or 4k streams are way more expensive to broadcast. With all the financial issues with BSW, I can't see them upgrading anytime soon.

I’ve noticed a weird audio issue with the BSW game streams this season, going back to the preseason. For around 75% the game, the audio levels sound partially muted. Then randomly they get raised up to louder than normal for a little bit.
It happens during game action or commercials. I’ve even picked up the low to high audio levels in the game video and audio clips on various platforms. I haven’t watched another Bally’s broadcast, so I’m not sure of it is just the Kings or more teams.
