Speculation: Another year of this Bluc **** (The 2024-25 season thread)

Friendly reminder that Rob Blake is going to be the longest tenured GM in Kings history.

I saw a tweet saying Eliotte Friedman has news kings are working on a 5 year extension with rob blake. Tried to find confirmation and … nothing. I don’t think I could handle that. It would be the final slap in the face to make me go cold turkey on not watching the team. Shame is I believed it.

Being hired.
Guess that's where I'm confused. I know Wikipedia by itself shouldn't matter, but Lombardi was hired after the 05-06 season. And he was fired in 2017. That's 11 seasons. 4000 days.

Blake took over in 2017, and it's just been 7.5 years. He has 2750 days on the job.

So if we're talking tine as a GM, he's nowhere close. If it's including his time as AGM, that would make more sense.

Maybe he saw that 5 year extension tweet I saw that would put him at 13 years

I really can't see them doing it until after this season, especially if they face the Oilers, or anyone else and lose in the first round again.
