I generally don’t get caught up in ref bashing, but that’s a ludicrous penalty. That exact same thing will happen 30 more times in this game and not be called.
I'd like the refs to call a tighter standard, but it's gotta be a *standard*. Don't call that unless you're ready to make that call every single time.

Right there with you. I'm totally ok with calling every little thing, as long as the every part of it stays true

Whats with all these dumb Sunday 1pm games? Its annoying as f***
NHL trying to cash in on the NFL crowd looking for something to fill their Sunday afternoons. They always try to have a 1pm national sunday game in the second half of the season to fit that slot, and today we're it. If you can call NHL Network national. Worse than ESPN+ exclusives in terms of access, NHLN just needs to give up on broadcasting games.

How great would it be if Chatfield emerges with consistent top 4 level play a la Forsling with Florida. He’s been phenomenal so far, I gotta think he can’t lose his spot in the lineup even once TDA is back as long as he keeps playing like this.

Bear has played well the last few games too though, so tough call to make unless we play a righty on his off side and sit Cole

Maybe they decide they have the depth with:

Slavin-TDA
Skjei-Pesce
Cole-Chatfield
Smith, Bear

…and go for a forward…maybe. I still would like one more D and another forward. That’s gonna be real tough under the cap tho.

NHLN just doesn’t need to broadcast games. I don’t understand why they do it. The channel would be perfect if they just did recaps, features, and classic-game rebroadcasts.

Im streaming while coaching baseball. Is this the game of 1000 penalties? Everytime I look there is another penalty

I mean, I pay real money to have ESPN+, and then they pull this crap to make sure that there are games I cannot watch in a legal way. For what, exactly? Nobody is calling up their cable provider and demanding that they pay $15 more a month for three third tier national games a week. They're just going to roll their eyes and pick another interesting game on ESPN. And those of us who only do streaming get screwed, when the NHL has made massive strides on that front in recent years.

Fortunately, the internet streams are WAY better than they used to be. If I was less ethical, I could avoid paying the NHL any money and not have any of these problems.

I’m in the same situation and totally agree. Would strongly prefer to be watching it legally on the app I’m paying for.

Mind you, I’m still watching it. So **** them.
