I mean, I pay real money to have ESPN+, and then they pull this crap to make sure that there are games I cannot watch in a legal way. For what, exactly? Nobody is calling up their cable provider and demanding that they pay $15 more a month for three third tier national games a week. They're just going to roll their eyes and pick another interesting game on ESPN. And those of us who only do streaming get screwed, when the NHL has made massive strides on that front in recent years.

Fortunately, the internet streams are WAY better than they used to be. If I was less ethical, I could avoid paying the NHL any money and not have any of these problems.

Honestly it all has me thinking of switching back over to Sling anyway since they were the one streaming provider that actually DOES have NHLN using the sports+ package and it's still cheaper than what I am paying for YoutubeTV. The only negative is that it doesn't have the locals for when there's a nationally broadcast game, and I don't think the Cup Finals are going to be on ABC anyway.

I get all my locals great (in uncompressed 1080p) with a good old fashioned antenna.
