Like with pretty much everything, if they wanted to fix it, they would fix it, as there are solutions out there.

Given they haven't fixed it, it means they haven't wanted to fix it, even though it's extremely f'ing dumb.

Teams don't want to fix it because it's a loophole that they want to use in the future. Players don't want to fix it because it gives more opportunities for more players to play and make money. It's not going anywhere.
