This hasn’t been working at all, he needs to be ruthlessly mocked but it has to be during the game lol.
Mocked for what? Playing with Bratt and Hughes someone has to do all the big boy work; though to his credit Jack has begun to get lower in the defensive zone more often.

Other than some tough luck when it comes to finishing chances, there's not a lot not to like about what Haula has brought since being acquired.

Not sure what your knock on either of those players is. On a nightly basis that line has consistently been New Jersey's strongest group when it comes to playing both ends of the ice. Given that Zetterlund is in his first full season that bodes well for the future.
I like both guys. I just don't see them as first line wings. Is non-first line player now a knock against someone? When did I say Zetterlund can't improve? I specifically said they are very good players. You made assumptions about my post that weren't there. You know what happens when you assume?

Like I respect everyone's opinions on here, but it's really confusing to me how somehow can complain almost daily about Jack Hughes and Jesper Bratt but get defensive when someone says Tatar and Zetterlund are not first line players.

Especially when it's me since we all know my opinions are facts. Okay, okay, my mother in law's opinions are facts.

Zetterlund has been good in the grand scheme of things, absolutely...but his output and effectiveness hit a wall in thr last 20 or so days. (So did others).

Dont know reason but id assume for the young guys could hitting NHL schedule grind awakening (not used to so many games with such intensity)
The big thing is a 1.4% on ice shooting percentage over the last 10. He could’ve easily had two assists last game, but that’s just the way it’s going lately.

Looks like I can download the app for TNT and watch this one. I watch most games from my semi truck when I'm not home to make it out to Newark. MSG go has been fantastic and same for SNY. Able to watch my teams live and from anywhere is pretty frigging cool. Wonderful times we live in. It's much more akward listening to a game when I'm not driving and don't have my old PS4 with me. Oh BTW LGFD we need to be!t these Boston Baststards enough already!

Someone has to put this to posterboard and bring it to the warmups, or we need a Bleedred fella to sit behind our bench for some motivational chirping..

So you are saying we gotta dial it up to 11 now...

I still believe (as someone said) the dam will burst soon from all this HFB will'ing.... And its gonna freaking burst open like we havent seen before. We just havent found yet the right theme of the meme.

I would argue that the demands of playing so high in the lineup having something to do with Zetterlund's slowdown as well. It's draining having to play agains the best players on the other team. With his experience level a third line role would be somewhat easier. Again, that's not to denigrate him, or Tatar, just that both are being asked to do a lot of heavy lifting with Hischier.

We are only 4 points up on the playoff line.

We need to start collecting points and wins again
Good news is, theres a gap forming. 10th place is 11 pts back. We need to take advantage of our Jan and Feb schedule which is fortuitous.

I wish you could loan players like you do in soccer. We could send Holtz on loan to the Sharks or something to mature up his game
Loan with the option to buy in exchange for a certain swiss player.

We also have games in hand on most everyone, too. and I know it doesn't feel like it but eventually we will play bad teams again. If we go on long losing streaks against those teams we can worry a little more about the playoff line.

He's ok in the defensive zone and wins face offs, that's it. The dude has 2 freaking goals playing with two of the best playmakers around, he's got the same stat line as McLeod and I'd argue McLeod has had more of an impact getting 4th line minutes. 2 goals is absolutely pathetic with the insane amount of chances he's had, he's the flub master, just back breaking whiffs when we need scoring.

So I'm guessing he's hurting fantasy teams.

But Bratt is a career best +13 while Hughes has gone from -16 to +11.

And suddenly goaltending isn't an issue.

Coincidence?

Goaltending wasn't an issue until December. It's definitely been a problem in December.

No.

MY opinions are Facts.

Ben LoveJoy is your father.

Prove me wrong. :bb:
Wow, I've never seen my dad in a room with Ben Lovejoy. You may be on to something. Let me get out my deerstalker cap, tweed cape, meerschaum pipe, and oversized magnifying glass to investigate!! Oh wait, I am already wearing that outfit. Off I go then, the game is afoot Glen!

No. It hasn't. The level of competition has increased while the attention to detail has waned.

The proof is Akira Schmid. He didn't suddenly go from incompetent to Jacques Plante in one off-season.

The play in front of him improved markedly.

Vanecek has a .869 SV% this month and is 1-2-2. Blackwood's is .885%, albeit in only 2 starts and 1 period. Only Schmid has performed admirably at .915% but is 1-3 in those games. This will only add more fuel to the fire of him being sent back and Mac getting another look, but I understand the logic as to why it has to be that way right now.

There is no single, solitary reason for why December has been a struggle for us. It's been a collection of things. Teams appear to be more prepared to play against us overall, but we are still outshooting and outchancing the opposition more often than not. The finishing dried up at times and the goaltending was subpar at others. Look no further than Vanecek's statline where we lost two games in overtime despite him having an abysmal save percentage. You hope he makes one extra save in those games to allow us the chance for the winner.
