Not really a comparable situation considering scooters drive on sidewalks but yes if they're driving drunk in traffic they can get impaired. Might wanna do some research on golf cart accidents too.

So if they're going around drunk on scooters, then yes - I'd wager elderly people drunk on scooters would too.

A golf cart not following traffic laws and blowing through controlled intersections, which also impacts other motor vehicles operating on the road. It’s not just about if he crashes but about if he causes others to crash

blowing through controlled intersections? its a golf cart he couldn't blow through a parking spot. everything about them is designed for drunk people to be driving them. we didn't fight the british to be oppressed by the heavy hand of authoritarian tyranny infringing on our right to cruise around the neighborhood in a golf cart, regardless of how buckled we are. george washington would be disgusted to see this abuse of fundamental human rights.

As would Patrick Henry, who famously exclaimed "give me liberty so I can drive around drunk in a golf cart, or give me death!"

no silly patrick henry had no idea what a golf cart was he didn't say that.

whats wrong with him dying in his 60's back then from some random disease though? thats a good run. guy defeated the british empire, started a new country, had a bunch of kids, was a governor, and has a 1st ballot all time hof quote. pretty sure he even wouldn't sign the constitution because it made the government too powerful...what an absolute weapon.
 
As if he's going to kill someone going 20 in a golf cart in a suburb. Jesus christ if an accident happens it will be like two turtles colliding.

He slowly rolled through a stop sign and there were no other cars on the road. He didn't put anyone in danger.

Do people really not understand that people have died in golf cart accidents? Falling off and hitting their head, getting hit by a car, there was a story of one person getting pinned under water after it rolled downhill.

But, is that why the thread is still going? Y'all don't know the actual dangers of drunk golf carting? You can also be arrested for bicycling while drunk, boating while drunk, or even riding a horse while drunk.

It’s in a resort area, by the beach. He is quite literally driving through resort parking lots and residential roads, all which have a posted max speed limit of 10mph. At most he drove like a mile considering the beach bars he mentioned. Many golf courses have cart routes that lead through subdivisions like this.

There’s such thing as the spirit of the law. We didn’t create minimum BAC levels on public roads for people driving golf carts slowly through private residential and resort areas.
