Thanks for nothing.

This is for Ron.

Yeah, I'm pretty unhappy with Sekera. But to each his own. He had a legit chance at a Cup this next season with the Kings but chose the big payday to play and lose for the Oil. No matter how you shake all the Canadian rah-rah **** I had to listen to on NHL Network today, the end result of the OIL rebuild is still the same: they won't make the playoffs this season. Not in that division.

I can't fault the guy for going after money, but it also paints a picture of him: he has no chance to win a Cup in Edmonton. In those six years...well, maybe.

6 years and a NTC , ugh.

$5.5M x 6 years was fair market value. Sekera got that in Edmonton and likely had similar offers elsewhere. Criticize the Oilers if you wish, but you're wrong for criticizing Sekera for "going after money". This is and will be the biggest contract of his life. He owed nothing to the LA Kings.

How am I wrong? Oil has a lot of holes, my friend. They aren't winning anytime soon.

So yeah...he went after the money. He certainly isn't after a Cup in EDM, that's for sure.

Plus an NTC. Guy's not worth that.

I am glad that jinx is out of the organization. The Kings were 0-1 in playoff appearances with Sekera.

thank you Sekera for that false sense of hope you gave to some Kings fans

other than that, i knew you sucked

Can't have a legends night for Sekera and/or Sturm without having one for Matt Johnson.
