If you've ever seen Anderson play, you'll notice all the other assets he has before his goal scoring. His size, speed and ability on the forecheck is greatly needed in Montreal. Oh yeah, and the guy can score too.

Galchenyuk could stickhandle and shoot, that's it... The comparison is terrible

He can score? 65 goals in 267 career games...not a goal scorer.

This team's problem is lack of S C O R I N G, it's incredible that everyone except those running the show can see that! Can't wait to keep losing games 2-0 all year long

Their value is pretty close. Power forwards are more expensive than soft players who can't dominate their position at 25 years old...
Even power forwards who score at a... 4 goals/year pace?? Yeah he had a very good season last year but so did Domi. Yeah he's coming back from a surgery but do you really want to use that as a positive?

What do you guys knows about player value? Lol all you do is always complain. I will wait to see the role of Anderson in that team first.

CJ will put him with Drouin and Suzuki to create space for them and drive the net.

Once again, Marc can't get what this team has been lacking for EIGHT years now.

Yeaaaa more grinders. Totally what we need.

We’ve had goal scoring power forwards before?

I swear we’ve been asking for one since Leclair was traded for Recchi.

Unless you count Max “oh there’s an empty net, I’ll finally start skating” Pacioretty?

Well if we talking 2 years ago why aren’t you stating the facts......like he had 27 goals.....?

Why state his one goal this year and Domis stats from 2 years ago??

Because he has a shoulder injury and I doubt that's going to help him in any way going forward.

Now if Suzuki has a sophomore slump or Kotkaniemi doesn’t find his groove MB will be working out alone... for a long time

No it’s not. Posters saying he scored 27 g. He did it once. Just like Galchenyuk

He alone won’t move the needle on the has offence
I think he adds an important dimension this teams doesn’t really have. He’s a true power forward that I think will open up space for the skill guys. And he’ll be good for 20+, maybe touching 30 at times. Important new piece of the core

Anderson scored close to 30 goals two years ago. If he can help Drouin and Suzuki score 25 goals each, that's already a good start.

Not sure about this, talent for talent, we got screwed and the worst, we had give a third round pick, he's big, that's it, he had one good season, Domi is better in every way, except for the size.

I hope we can sign Hoffman, Dadonov or Granlund at free agency

Drouin - Suzuki - Anderson
Tatar - Kotkaniemi - Gallagher
Granlund/Hoffman/Dadonov - Danault - Armia
Byron - Evans - Lehkonen

Chariot - Weber
Edmundson - Petry
Romanov - Mete

The big problem with this trade is that Montreal has a massive creativity problem. Domi helped with that. Anderson is kind of like Gallagher, but with less goalscoring.

Montreal needs guys that can play east-west. They're just going all-in on crashing against the opponents net like a bunch of waves.

What? Suzuki is far more creative than Domi. Domi was wasted motion.
