Isles fans have a really hard time letting go of players. That’s pretty clear. Any drafted player must play his entire career with the team, nothing else matters.

Geez...they have not sucked.....sucked is unwatchable.....sucked is being one of the worst 5 teams each year for a good long time......sucked is....well, The NY Jets.

It has not been awesome, but suck is being a bit on the cliffage....which way too much of the last 2 months here has been.

When you are one of the oldest teams in the league and in the bottom 5 in cap space and you can't even make the playoffs...And you keep running it back each season, then you are nowhere near a Cup and that sucks - And so does your team if that's your process.

Not really getting the rational to bring back Lee if it’s a cheap deal.
He doesn’t fit on this team anymore, no matter how much he’s making. We need to get younger, faster, and be willing to play in that grey area of violent but legal.
Lee doesn’t fit any of this.
As much as I hate the guy, we need a Tom Wilson type, without the egregious cheap shots.
Let him walk, give him a night, and move on.
We need some snarl.

Darche has not kept running it back...this will be his first true off-season yet everyone is ready to throw him and the team over the cliff before we even get here....(blah blah old guys...blah blah blah schenn blah blah)....anyone who thinks this transition was to get done by the start of this coming season is clueless. 2027-28 is still a stretch.

It seams too many here know better but i would bet would fail big time if they actually had the job and we would then probably really suck. "Oldest team crap" does fly when the oldest team cannot even make the playoffs because it isn't that talented.

And the jury is still out on Darche, but his moves at the deadline were literally carbon copies of what Lou would do. That's not a good sign.

And of course it's going to take any GM years to "transition" this team to a Cup contender, but are you satisfied with Darche so far? Do you feel like you understand his plan to build this team into a winner?

As we've seen with many previous GMs...Just because fans preach patience doesn't mean the GM knows what he's doing. I pray that Darche does (and that Lou/Malkin aren't in his way), but so far...Not so good.
