Bjork in the AHL while the Bruins will ice 5 4th liners for the game tonight.

One on the 2nd line (Nordstrom)
Three on the 3rd line (Kuraly-Cave-Wagner)
One on the 4th line (Acciari)

Makes sense... wake up Sweeney/Cassidy!

If bjork plays in a win or loss for our team on dec 29 of 2018.. its rather irrelevent

If hes ready to be in nhl as a contributor... bring him up

Honestly, i doubt they think he is ready to make a difference. They probably got him there working on something. Im guessing, whatever it is... is more important than tonights result

Lets hope he actually is better than a 4th liner when he returns

Here's the thing.

Donato was sent down for a month and called back up. He had a decent showing in Providence, points aside. Bjork is basically at a month and has produced somewhat, but has been a more complete player all around the ice. At this point he's certainly a better option that trotting out one of the 5-6 4th liners they have in the lineup now with Backes suspended and Marchand hurt. Hell, Heinen STILL hasn't done much through 3 months of hockey this year.

This team is desperate to score goals right now. Adding the likes of Acciari back into the lineup does nothing to solve that.

He deserves another look. Put him with Donato and JFK and let them take their lumps. Can't be anyworse than that line getting pinned in with a useless plug on the RW in Acciari.

That line up is hot garbage. If I were paying to attend that game, I'd be pissed.

Rather he come back when he’s back on his game instead of when fans are begging him for goals that already haven’t come for him

I get the frustration up in Boston and Bjork is playing well but he's not lightning in a bottle, think long term,he's better off in Providence

He better get the call for the Winter Classic. It would be pretty crappy for the Bruins to not. No one is really playing well enough to keep him out of the line-up.

seriously not playing him in this game would be kind of a slap in the face. even if he isn't "ready" yet, it's one game. If they believe he'll be a player for them long-term then let him play this one.

Honestly with how Heinen is playing, call the kid up.

8:05 TTOI tonight. Why even dress him at that point?

I’m the absolute last person to defend Heinen.....but it’s really confusing.

He started on the first line and it seemed like 4-5 shifts into the game he was off it.

Now, I’m not going to say that he played great in those 4-5 shifts, but he certainly didn’t seem to be any worse or different than he has been for a while,

Maybe that’s the reason....but if it is, I don’t know what Cassidy expected to get from him. He hasn’t been very good for a long time now, IMO.

And while some might say that he hasn’t hurt them....I assume meaning that he doesn’t make mistakes that allow the other team to score....he’s certainly not helping them with his lack of production.

Lastly....right, wrong, good or bad.....he doesn’t ever come across as highly engaged or energetic,

I’m not saying he’s lazy, but nobody will ever confuse him with Kuraly, in regard to his hustle/energy level.

I hope he takes a good look in the mirror and realizes that he’s got to at least skate a little harder, throw a hit or two....do something different...because he’s really coming close to wasting the talent he does have.

this isn't he Heinen thread but I have to agree. If I'm Cassidy and I'm trying to explain to the kids why they are falling short of expectations I tell them to look no farther than Jake Debrusk. That guy never stops. If Heinen, Donato, JFK, & Bjork had JDB's compete level this team would be unbeatable. That's what I'd be telling them every minute of every practice and game.

Yeah...didn’t mean to hijack....forgot where I was for a minute, but I agree about JDB.

If Bjork plays for Providence today I doubt he's getting called up for the Winter Classic, that would give him 4 games in 5 days. We'll know by 5pm

Calling him up cries favouritism...would be a massive mistake by management especially since Bjork has not played well in Providence. Out of the NCAA 3 I like his upside the most however he needs to pull it together.

Blidth Fitz Cehlarik Zach Kopannen Hughes say f$%^ that ! and sends terrible message.

Has he shown that he deserves/earned a recall?

Doesn’t seem like it.

I think if a winger is to be called up, it’s gotta be Ryan Fitzgerald or Cehlarik based on performance in Providence.

If the Winter Classic was at Gillette, would there even be a conversation about Bjork playing in the game? The answer to that is ‘no’.

Whom would you suggest they call up, then?...............Hmm..

Well, there was a guy who had two assists last night to earn a star. But he’d be in the same situation as Bjork, too many consecutive games.

I dont want to give the impression that Bjork hasn't played well cause overall he has,its just he still has holes in his game and thinking the long game he belongs in Providence.

Kevan Miller was raised in California ... Does that mean he should be playing in the 2019 All Star game in San Jose?
