Anyone ever been to an Avenged Sevenfold (A7x) concert? They’re coming to Pine Knob in July. My Spanish-Italian friend put me onto them (her and I swap music recs back and forth). Funnily enough I’m country and pop and she’s more heavy metal and rock.

If you’ve been, what am I lookin at in terms of concert vibe? It’s actually a departure from the ones I’d normally go to (which have been stuff similar to the old Downtown Hoedown which was a great show). Last rock concert of any type i went to was Pantera…when I was like 10

Saw them back in the warped tour days a few times. Typical hard rock/metal moshing sort of crowd.

Nowadays I would expect it to have chilled out a bit. If the pushing and shoving crowd isn't your thing you should be able to find a nice spot along the outside to see the band and enjoy the tunes without the crowd pressure.

Did that with LS Dunes ( band with a similar vibe I would expect) a couple weeks back and really enjoyed it.

Can someone who Twitters fill me in on how it feels like most people have like 1000+ followers but all their posts get virtually zero engagement and the same 2 people replying in the comments (if any at all)?

It's just nothing but bots from top to bottom, right?

Alternatively, only 0.001% of people on Twitter actually use Twitter in any meaningful way.

Bots and lunatics

But lunatics are usually very engaged in the content. If you have over a 1,000 lunatics following you, I'd expect more than 1 "like" and no replies to a hot button post, ya know?

It just feels like a graveyard whenever I go around these Twitter feeds. There's lots of names to look at but everyone seems dead.

So Nintendo had a sale on the special edition Skyrim game. I completely forgot how addictive that game is until this week. :help:

I keep thinking I'm done with it then it calls me back. I must have 2k hour spread across Xbox360, Xbox One, and PC.

Dubbed the "Hot Grog" mod.

In Skyrim they talk about mead a lot. Way back in 2011 (which is when Skyrim came out of one can believe that), I had never tried mead so the first opportunity I got, I gave it a go.

And maybe it was the mead this bar had, but holy hell I didn't like it at all. The bartender wasn't surprised and was kind enough to not even charge me for it, since she said it was very common people disliked it that much.

@jaster why does mead suck so much?

Mead is great man. Maybe it was just the specific mead. It can range, I find some to be too "wine-y" if that makes sense. Easily one of my favorite beverages though.

I'm not saying mead is bad, but I'm saying it's the Detroit Lions of alcohol.

And to carry that metaphor all the way, perhaps this is the year mead works for me and will become enjoyable.

No, you will catch the mead illegally gambling at the brewery and you won’t be able to buy it for awhile.

Gamblor strikes again.

Mead sucks so much because you're drinking it wrong! It's your fault!

Go back in time where, for thousands of years, it was the only alcoholic beverage known to man. Then you would like it, you spoiled brat.

But for real, I don't know. I'm not big on mead. I taste it from time to time. There is a meadery within walking distance of my house, it's been there for like 5 years and I've been once. I will say that, over the years, I've experienced a very wide variety of mead.... in style, flavor profile, alcohol, now they carbonate some... it's so varied that I think it's virtually inevitable that there is at least one mead out there for everyone that they'll hate (same as beer I guess). I've had some really bad meads, but they were not at all representative of mead in general.

Try it again some time, caveman.

Part of me wishes I got it on PC to mod it. It’s still pretty fun for the switch.

I’ve decided to try an illusion/bow sneak attack build this time. With the dawnguard DLC and crossbows I should be good. And if they get close I can always turn into a werewolf and eat them.

If I decide to do another character I kind of want to do a proper necromancer build one time. That one looks pretty fun.

If you can find a balance between playing and modding its fun. The problem comes when you spend more time modding than playing and you can't enjoy the game because you constantly see textures that aren't molded and then have to go and find a mod for it and then it breaks your mod list and by the time you're done you haven't done anything lol. I'd recommend sticking to gameplay altering mods to have fun with if you ever do get the chance. Xbox has a good mod lineup if PC isn't an option.
There's a reason stealth archery is the most common way people play. It's the playstyle that allows for the most expression of skill, even though it gets stupid OP. Hitting long range shots is so satisfying.

Went back and re-played Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim this winter and it was a lot of fun.

Really hoping Starfield lives up to the hype. Looking forward to Diablo 4 to hold me over til then.
