Great job on Dostal pitching a shutout in the shootout.
He makes me miss Jack Edwards.Emerson Etem is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me
He needs to learn when to speak and when to shut up. Dude is always trying to give his opinion and analysis. My favorite was "The Ducks are shooting to score." Yea no shit buddy, why else are they shooting.Emerson Etem is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me
He’s horrible. I don’t hate him at all, actually really liked him as a player, but he’s awful at this. Sounds like he’s playing a part. I can’t recall his actual voice, but he sounds like he should be calling Yankees games in the 1920’sis etem that bad?
i guess it shouldn't be all that surprising considering they put him into the announcer's booth with zero background or experience
I don't think more experience will help his penchant for dogshit takes. Mac line arguably the worst of the four tonight? Etem thinks they're the best line. Mac passes up a glorious point blank chance to try a stupid spin backhand pass that immediately leads to a powerplay turnover Etem thinks it's the "right idea" that just happened to lack execution.is etem that bad?

Someone compared him to Jim Fox and I went to a very dark place. I will never listen to a Ducks audio stream as long as he's on it.Emerson Etem is the worst thing that’s ever happened to me
He's a bad for a game broadcast and when he's trying so hard to be the hype man. He's best when he's interviewing a player on his podcast.is etem that bad?

This.. Etem is lost.. Hes trying to hard.. Sometimes as a broadcaster.. You gotta be honest dude.I don't think more experience will help his penchant for dogshit takes. I mean the second one is baffling coming from a former goal scorer. It's exactly the worst and most incorrect idea possible in that situation shy of trying to pick the puck up and throw it at the other end of the ice. Hazy and Ahlers may not be premier broadcasters but at least they have the sense to call a bad play what it is. Etem seems to have this impulsive need to make everything he sees on the ice positive and outstanding, on top of objectively bad analysis. It's hard to listen to.
My bad. I meant he's like Jim Fox from TemuSomeone compared him to Jim Fox and I went to a very dark place. I will never listen to a Ducks audio stream as long as he's on it.
They're literally coaching the offense out of him in the name of "defensive responsibility". A man can do both.My worries about Z are still not going anywhere. Went from generating chances every shift to barely being noticeable.
He has fewer defensive responsibilities at wing, but is less engaged on both ends of the ice. He is a natural center, best with the puck in the middle of the ice. I'd like them to play him at center, with less difficult defensive matchups. They're literally coaching the offense out of him in the name of "defensive responsibility". A man can do both.
As an aside, this is why I've always balked when people keep saying they want to see Z develop as a center. I don't think that's a good use of his abilities. He's such an offensive dynamo when he's mostly freed from big defensive responsibilities that any offensive-minded coach would have penciled him to a winger role and gotten a more defensively responsible center for him just to allow him to shine doing what he's the best at.
