Im still trying to figure out wtf Kopi was doing in ot with Gabby waiting for the puck. He didn't know if he should pass or shoot and might've tried both.

Kopi always does this. He hesitates to the point where everything becomes impossible. Occasionally it becomes a pretty play though.

I'm telling you guys, this roster is full of players who can't zip the puck through. Just looking at the shooting percentages, it's ugly.

The Kings are so predictable to, it's kind of sad that my fiance, who is pretty new to the game can call out Carter and Kopitar's moves before they happen.

I think next shootout Sutter needs to tell the guys to skate in and just have a shot. No backhands, no can-openers, no Jokinen move, no stopping in the slot. Just skate in and shoot.

Kings are really starting to play a risky game. They're in the "no more room for mistake zone" because Winnipeg and Calgary are rolling. The Kings have to start winning soon or else they're missing the playoffs.

Carter literally only has one move. Forehand backhand shelf. All goalies have to do is watch some video of him the SO. At least when you're shooting the puck you can pick a location, but with his move there is only one exact location the puck will go.

So Kings January hockey continues eventhough it started in December.

What I would like someone to do in the shootout is do the triple deke, you know like that kid Banks does for the Mighty Ducks! Or, skate 100 mph and stop 10 feet from the net and wind up for a slapper!

Sad part about that is both Calgary and Winnipeg were struggling at the time they met the Kings. Then we all know what happened.

So we should put in a three-point line? I remember the beach roller hockey league used to do that. We should slope the ice behind the net, too.

No, but I'm just saying other leagues have easier ways to rack up points, which is why they don't take players off the playing surface in OT.

I'm fine with ties after 60 minutes, game over, thanks for coming out. 5 minute OT, 10 minute OT, 4on4, 3on3, shootouts, 3 point games, none of it bothers me much. Good teams will find a way to the playoffs, and bad ones won't, even if some games are worth more than others. The Kings have been a very average overall team this season, and that's why they are where they are in the standings.

The Kings are performing more like Gunner Stahl in a shootout.

Jeff Carter doesn't look right. Doughty, Muzzin and Martinez are playing way too many minutes. Schultz looked OK but like I can't stand watching this guy get so many minutes.

The Ducks play last night, and were still the better team in at least the 3rd period, if not earlier. Beating the Kings to pucks, and making them ice it again, and again, and again. The Ducks starting in the offensive zone all the time. At home too. Just making the game too easy for the Ducks.

Eh. The Devils were no match to the Ducks. The game wasn't even close. Probably didn't break a sweat and was a good warmup for them to face the Kings.

The Kings roster is just not very good right now. Losing Voynov and Mitchell has been an even bigger loss than the most pessimistic fan could have imagined and then losing RR on top of it was salt in the wounds.

And then up front the strength down the middle talk is ridiculous when a guy playing his first game is above two 10 year vets on the depth chart. And with the injuries to TT and Pearson they really don't have the horses on the wing to let Carter play center.

Dean needs to make some moves and he could basically add any position other than goalie. Which is somewhat of a positive, if the only guy available is a 2nd line center Dean can get him because the center skill is weak right now.

One regulation win on this home stand so far....Awful.

The Kings will have to become a good road team in a real hurry.

Herby's green jacket award update:

Muzzin -9 (takes the lead)
Brown -8
Richards -7
King -7

At least the Kings got a point, but the Kings soon have to flip that switch.

Goddamit Muzzin. What happened?

He is playing a lot more minutes against tough competition. Sutter has no choice, riding DD and Muzz into the ground still gives him a better chance than more minutes for Greene and Schultz.

I think we need to add a scoring forward (any position) and a defenseman to have a real chance this season. I'm just not sure it's financially possible. This just feels like everything wrong is happening this year.

This years team kind of reminds me of the 2011 Chicago team coming off their first cup. Some key off-season losses, some injuries, some uninspired play. They still got up for some games but took many nights off.

He sometimes looks like he is in awe of Gaborik and wants to set him up with a super great awesome play. He needs to lead this team, not second-guess himself.

That's pretty much what it looked like. I actually thought he had a chance to go around the net for a wrap around chance because the goalie seemed fixed on Gabby.

As of right now, the Ducks looked more fresh, younger, and faster than the Kings. Our depth has taken a horrible hit this year.

Come to think of it, all of our younger guys except RR are either hurt, ill, or suspended! Only our crusty old veterans remain healthy.
