The Kings come back and get shut out by Dallas 3.25 GAA 27th ranked defense the next game. :laugh:

I just don't understand why offense and defense seem to be mutually exclusive for the Kings.

Just another game of playing down to their opponent*. "Oh, the Stars finished lower in the standings than us last year? Yup, we can sleep walk through this one and get a win.". It's not until the last 5 mins or so when they realize, "Oh ****, teams are gunning for us cause we're the defending Cup champs. We'll take this as a learning experience.". Rinse and repeat.


*Only if that opponent isn't the Canucks
 
Having to drop my ticket price by $30 a piece on StubHub shows that Kings fans are not expecting a win today. They are correct.

Only hope is having last change so the McEscortService isn't out against their Top 6 all game. I expect another game where the Kings are hemmed in their own zone as the transition game from defense to offense is going to be horrible with this D lineup.

I do agree that the defense is the problem so far this year. However there are a growing amount of king fans that would like to see us play without him. If we kept him on the bottom lines playing around 12-14 mins i would be ok with it However hes played games over 20 which is way to much. He is a -6 i think this year time for a wake up call. I have been waiting to see what we look like without the "great Dwight King" i think we can do without him and this is the perfect chance to see exactly how good.

King is a 10-15 goal scorer. That's it, no more, no less. The problem has been That 70's Line has had a dreadful November and Kopitar & Gaborik are still getting up to speed after injuries as well as Muzzin. Add that to missing a top 4 d-man in Voynov for an extended period of time and Regehr the last couple of games, and now Martinez out for a bit, but also add on playing a rookie d-man that is till learning the system in McNabb and now McBain, it's a recipe for losses.
The Kings need to get over this hurdle and they'll be the better for it. Right now is not the time to sit regulars.
 
An absolute LOL @ "the growing number of fans who want King gone." What a load of crap.

Dwight King's actual problem is he isn't good or bad enough to have a real fan club.

i love the new line rushes from yesterday I think Richards playing with the kids will help jump start the team. Richards is playing well but not getting much help from his other linemates. Also I think Brown on lw is better then Brown on rw So having him play 3rd line with stoll and williams will help jump start the offense Also i like Lewis better as a center then a wing The defense is our main issues however i think moving brown to lw is something that i want to watch He has chemistry with stoll and williams

In my opinion Brown should be playing right wing with Gaborik & Kopitar. He plays his best hockey alongside Kopitar.

You can lol all you want however since i started to make my stand against King i have seen a lot more poster agreeing with me. We could use a upgrade at 3 lw and dustin brown is one :) Also a first line of gaborik kopitar and carter is almost enough to make me drool.
