Love a good hockey trade like this. Wow. I see the fit both ways. Drysdale just has to stay healthy.

Both teams balance out their blue chip asset allocation. I think this pretty much shows confidence in the Flyers of Michkov being a center when he arrives in NA. Meanwhile they definitely needed some high end talent infusion on the blueline.

The Ducks were swimming in blue line assets and this sets up Carlsson-McTavish-Gauthier up front with Mintyukov, LaCombe, Luneau, Zellweger, etc still on defense and a blueline rich draft set for this summer where they will have a high pick.

Good on Briere trading Gauthier before word got out that he didn’t want to sign. Got a young defenseman with alot of potential AND a 2nd round pick.

Feel like Flyers win this trade pretty heavily, we've seen the Gauthier prototype of player have issues succeeding at the next level with all the tools but no toolbox.
