Their accountability lies with the fans and the fans seem to eat it up so as you said.

Truly a curious situation.
Accountability to the fans is putting together a competitive, and hopefully cup winning, team.

Deciding to throw Gauthier under the bus might placate the fans, but the message it sends to future prospects is not one of a positive environment.

What is absolutely hilarious about the whole Gauthier situation is, if Gauthier went 4 and Shane Wright had fallen to 5. Philly fans might be praying they could trade him anywhere.

This is the part driving me wild, you traded a guy that didn't want to be there and got Jamie f***ing Drysdale back and you're violently angry? Have some f***ing perspective lol Cutter is gonna have to be pretty f***ing good for me to not think we got hosed in this trade.
Most Flyers fans are worried about Drysdale's durability and are upset that the Flyers took Cutter instead of Jiricek in the draft. We've had more than our fair share of injuries over the years that have derailed the team so trading for a smaller defenseman that's had issues is a little worrying for a lot of the fans. I'm not all doom and gloom about it like most of our board.

Additionally, Briere knew that Cutter didn't want to play for the team before the 2023 draft and left some potentially high end guys on the board like Perrault to take Bonk instead. It leaves some of us scratching our heads and wondering what exactly is the plan for the future, if there is one?

Almost as if it was the most obvious reason all along. And now let's see if philly fans turn their rage inwards? I'm not holding my breath. Also ladies and gentlemen, THAT was a high IQ play by Gauthier.
One might think a statement like this would cause some type of introspection - maybe just for a moment. But just based on the breathtaking inability to cope among a seemingly large portion of the fanbase, team brass, and even ownership, I wouldn’t expect it.

When the Ducks traded Vatanen was he already super injury prone ?
Vatanen was 5'9 and he played more physical than he should have and that trade didn't come back to bite the Ducks at all. Drysdale was starting to play more physical this year too.

Vatanen was a 'warrior'. Always played above his size and stature.

I think he started to become injury prone once he went to jersey.

I've been on workers comp for nearly 2 months and with nothing to do I've spent more time on social media lately than I'm proud to admit. The funniest part of all this was just a few weeks ago flyers fans were drooling over this kid and his WJC performance. Now hes a bum who was overrated with no hockey IQ who they're glad to be rid of. Flyers organization did a phenomenal job turning this kid into the villain.

looks like we’ll have to start our very own ducks podcast as a group

The amount of grown ass men, holding professional positions, slandering a teenager cause he hurt your feelings by not wanting to play for the precious Flyers, is kinda sad
Meh it happens with a ton of big market teams.

Could change Philly to Toronto, Montreal, New York, Boston, pitt Detroit, etc and get the same result.

You guys think Cutter saw that video of Briere’s son and thought “yeah, no thanks” ?

No more fans. I would kill for a podcast with 2-3 former Ducks that are not associated with the team. That way we can get actual insight on the franchise and a look into the lockeroom without the filter of the team.

We dont need an audio version of our threads on here where a bunch of jackoffs with no actual experience in an NHL lockeroom give their armchair opinion. I love you guys but reading it is enough for me haha.
