Miller is listed as a Center or Right Wing and Anaheim needs a top 6 Left Winger not sure how Miller fits in with Anaheim. 43 points his best year. Still think a deal around Tatar makes sense for both clubs.

I thought the Rangers need RHD not LHD even most Ranger fans say that Fowler to the Rangers makes zero sense. Just bring New York boy Kevin Shattenkirk home he makes far more sense then adding Fowler.

Rangers currently have no need for another left side defender.

McD, Staal(NMC), Holden, with Skjei on cusp, Graves(nice prospect) all predominantly line-up on the left side.

Rangers think very highly of Miller. While Fowler is a nice piece, I just don't see why the Rangers do this

90% give or take of Millers time in the NHL was at LW. Regardless this proposal has been beat to death the Rangers have no use for Fowler.

Totally agree, The Ranger are pretty much set on the LD side they need more RHD help like bringing hometown boy Shattenkirk home more so then adding Cam Fowler. And J. T. Miller is one of the better forward guys that Rangers have. Moving Miller makes zero sense and adding Fowler makes zero sense for the Rags.

Miller plays all 3 forward positions, and plays a lot more Left Wing than Center.

In regards to the proposal, no thanks from the Rangers side.

Yeah he's pretty much versatile, Had just seen the Center and RW on his player site. But most decent players can play all 3 positions if need be.

Totally agree that Fowler to the Rangers makes zero sense. The Rangers need to be adding a RHD not a LHD like Fowler.

We have been through this.

1. Thanks but do not want Fowler.
2. Miller not available, besides we like him a lot, 15OA selection, he can also play C besides either W, and we need him in case we decide to move another C. Like Stepan, for Dumba +, among others.
3, The ideal fit for you is Zucarello. Top 6, either W, works hard, produces. Affordable 4.5 x 3. Depending on the return a minor cap dump is fine.

Thedore +

Montour +

if it was the right add by NY, then Theodore + Montour, though I assume you don't want to overextend there.

He plays all 3 forward positions.

I could see the Rangers being interested in Fowler if the plan is to move Skjei to the right-side and Vesey or Buchnevich breaks out, but the money doesn't work.

You almost got through a whole coherent post and idea without mentioning moving Stepan....almost.

Rangers interested in Montour or Theodore only. Not Fowler. Most of their forwards would be on the table here I would imagine.

I can not come up with any deal here. Montour would be my preference from the Ducks but they are in a tough expansion situation and are likely going to be looking to move established players that they just can not protect, Fowler, not prospects who may be on the cusp on the NHL who are exempt.

I am sure some team out there will make a Fowler deal eventually but I just can not see it being the Rangers.

Rangers have nothing that would make us offer Theo AND Montour in the same package. There's no deal to be made between these two fan bases.

What about for Theodore OR Montour, not both.

What about for Theodore OR Montour, not both.

No deal that both sides will be happy with. We want to keep Theo since he's still on his ELC and can play in the NHL. Montour is a very interesting prospect that could also be ready for the NHL; and they're both expansion exempt. So their value is higher for us than it would be for the Rangers.

And trading them for players more expensive doesn't help us (like Miller or Zucc) so that's an immediate no go on any of those trades.

So unless the Rangers are going to take Stoner/Bieksa back (they wouldn't) along with one of Theo or Montour (we're not doing that anyways), there's really no deal to be made.

Fowler is the only being shopped so we can transfer that salary and skill from defense to forwards. Trading one of Theo and Montour doesn't help that.
