Hypothetically Kaprizov could be hitting LTIR giving the Wild trade deadline flexibility. As a MN fan, I’d be bummed if we gave up assets for Nelson or Boeser. I’d rather see a high risk/high reward move for someone like Zegras. So something around him for Jesper Wallstedt. Seems like there’s a clearer path to games for Jesper in Cali. I think Gus is a pretty good goalie, good enough to make Wallstedt expendable. So who adds, who’s says yes, who says no?

I like taking a chance on Zegras. But not with Rossi already in the fold and Heidt and Khusnutdinov in the system - that’s a lot of small Cs. Not a great fit even though I like the player.

Assuming this would be after Gibson is traded?

Notwithstanding that I'd rather keep Zegras, I wouldn't trade for Wallstedt unless he's fine with a 1B role.

The Ducks have 2 of the 7 goalies in the NHL that have a better goals saved above expected then Gustavsson. Gibson is under contract for 2 more years, and Dostal is 24.

Anaheim might be one of the 5 worst fits for Wallstedt.

And no interest in trading Zegras for anything short of an upgrade. They have no business trading him for futures.

I thought he was playing a lot of wing the last two years, no?

Guess my thought was Gibson goes elsewhere and Dostal/Wallstedt tandem.

He has, and he looks OK at wing, but Zegras looks a lot better at C. Every time he's been put there, his line looks good (assuming he's playing with decent players). Problem is, Cronin will put him there for a game, then switch him back. Only longer stretches he gets is if there are injuries, then there's no talent to play with.

You aren't a Minnesota fan if you actuallty post this or think this would ever happen. Wild aren't trading Wallstedt, it's simply not happening dude. Wallstedt is completely off limits.

After having spent weeks reading about how goalies really aren't worth anything on the trade market and how Anaheim should be honored to accept Edmonton's fans offer of an extremely late 1st round pick for Gibson at 50% retained ... I come here to read that you want to trade Minnesota's AHL goalie for Zegras pretty much straight up?!!?

PV thanks Guerin for the belly laugh & blocks Minnesota's phone number...

lol Minnesota wouldn't trading wallstedt much less for Zegras

Is Troy Terry moveable?
Every player is movable. That said, it won't be cheap and the Ducks are starved for offense. Any trade the Ducks make will be a package for an upgrade unless it's a lesser guy like Fabbri. The best compromises might be Killorn (very overpaid but useful 3rd liner), or Strome (slightly overpaid 3rd liner).

For something crazy sure. Otherwise, no ... he's literally the only consistent top6 forward on the roster, and is signed to a reasonable deal for another 5 years.
Nah we can't afford to move him or Zegras unless in a package for a more proven offensive talent
Just wondering, since he's a bit outside of your "young core" group (21-24 year olds: Zegras, McTavish, Gauthier, Carlsson, Mintyukov, Zellweger, etc.)

Is Zegras is a center going forward for ANA, where’s he slot in when you got McTavish, and Carlsson?
