15 contract years or nhl sessons?

What i think is funny is that even though Reimer has lasted 15 seasons in the NHL his still has less game starts than a guy like Holtby who's been inactive for two years and didn't really earn starts until two years into his career. Hell, Gibson has more starts than Reimer and he's only been in the league for 10 years.

It’s about a role. You find no name baseball players have 15+ yrs or nfl players have 10+ yr career snd you didn’t know them

Yes but it also brings into perspective that 15 seasons doesn't really matter since wear and tear is significantly lower than some of your peers. And that he's stuck around the NHL instead of going to Europe most likely because of family reasons.

He should get credit for managing a career as a backup obviously. Just don't see 15 seasons as very impressive or soemthing to point out. It's like pointing out that Andy Sutton played more seasons in the NHL than Boddy Orr.

No it's not. It's like pointing out that Andy Sutton had a decently long career as a serviceable defenseman. He did well for himself. Reimer did well for himself.
