I expect that Tkachuk & Sanderson will sit out tonight & rightfully so, we don't need him to have to fight Xhekaj & maybe get hurt or aggravate an injury just before the playoffs. Montreal doesn't care, they aren't making the playoffs & have nothing to lose & Ottawa doesn't need some of their own fans cheering on the other team against their captain because of the heated political situation. That isn't going to help the Ottawa Senators especially in the room with a number of Americans on the team, it would just further divide the team.

Didn't we already do this with Dorions botched and rushed asset expenditure because Keith and Brady were saying so.

I don't know if the Tkachuks had any influence there, probably just Dorion trying to save his job knowing that the team making the post-season was the only way he could possibly survive as GM under new ownership.

But Dorion's horrible mismanagement of our resources has left Staios with very little to trade for short-term help, and the absolute last thing we should do is listen to Keith Tkachuk on what to do.

He doesn't exactly have the franchise's best interest at heart - the opposite in fact.

Ya Cassidy and a few teams have said that players are going to need some recovery time, as others have had nearly 2 weeks off. Cassidy said either now, or soon when their schedule is lighter.

Brady looked like one of the top 5 offensive players on team USA. He seemed to always come through with a goal, if it weren't for Binnington's heroics Brady would have had the overtime golden goal as well.

I underestimated how good he really is. I can not wait to see this guy unleashed in the playoffs.

I don't know what you missed while watching Brady play for Ottawa for the last 7 years because he was the exact same player in that tournament. Only difference was better quality players to work with and more hyperbole from the commentators.

Giroux - Norris - Batherson
Greig - Pinto - Cousins
Reinhardt - Ostapchuk - Gregor

Like him or not, Marner is exactly what is missing on this team : high end playmaking (no offense to Stuzle and Batherson). Of course this doesn't work if Stutzle is not shooting more. Either way, Stu needs to become more of a dual threat, his over-passing limits his offensive effectiveness

People at the time fo the trade were shocked how much Calgary was able to return for Tkachuk. It's pure hindsight to say the return was terrible.

And the only reason people think the return was terrible is 100% related to Huberdeau's contract. If he was making 7.0 AAV, it would look fantastic. Weegar is an excellent 2-way D-man signed long term at 6.25 AAV

Namestnikov extended 2 years x 3.0 AAV, exactly the type of guy I wish we had as our 8th/9th forward right after Pinto-Greig, a very reliable versatile 2-way forward

We have a Stutzle and Sanderson window. Not a Brady window.
