Brilliant, Kevyn, just brilliant! Can't wait to see Swiss Cheese Sandstrom in net when one of the roster goalies gets injured.

At least Swiss cheese has places that are reasonably solid. I can't say the same for Sandstrom right now.
We only need Reimer for like 3 weeks you'll get him backBrilliant, Kevyn, just brilliant! Can't wait to see Swiss Cheese Sandstrom in net when one of the roster goalies gets injured.
Hope Buffalo is able to get this from them! For those interested, this cost Anaheim $3,375, paid to Boston and not counted against the cap.
How does that work - the waiving team has first crack at a player subsequently waived by the claiming team?We only need Reimer for like 3 weeks you'll get him back
Are the Sabres worried about waiver priority? How does that work - the waiving team has first crack at a player subsequently waived by the claiming team?

I think it would be like normal waivers. Buffalo would be in line depending on the standings. A team lower than them could claim. How does that work - the waiving team has first crack at a player subsequently waived by the claiming team?
Not sure if it is the rule or not but you definitely see players returning to the original team quite often if waived again.Pretty sure he needs to clear the whole league for the Sabres to get him back.

More of the same from Buffalo management
It is primarily based on the years with a SPC (and then goalies cost a little more than skaters)What determines the amount payable for a waiver claim?
Pegula was willing to pay $1M on a goalie for his AHL team.Worst managed team in the NHL compounded by Pegula cheapness.
Pretty sure he needs to clear the whole league for the Sabres to get him back.
He just needs to clear the teams in front of Buffalo to go back to Buffalo, but he needs to clear everyone else for Buffalo to be able to send him to the minorsNot sure if it is the rule or not but you definitely see players returning to the original team quite often if waived again.
Team B makes the successful claim even though Buffalo previously owned the player's rights and Buffalo put in a claim1. Team A - no claim

3. Buffalo - claim
4. Team C - claim
5. Team D - no claim
Buffalo makes the successful claim as no one ahead of them put in a claim, but the player stays with Buffalo, as teams after them put in a claim1. Team A - no claim

Unless you have a Top-end goaltender, you almost need 3 goalies anymore. One preferably you can send down. They can send Levi down I assume still, no?
Unless Reimer made it clear he didn’t wanna play the 3 headed monster again, after last year in Detroit?
He’s such a good vet to have around too. Did they have to keep a skater over keeping 3 goalies?
Probably for the best anyway, just think it’s a little strange they didn’t keep him, as the 3 headed goalie had to be part of the reason they signed him.
Anyway. He’ll be fine in Anaheim. He’s as professional a goalie as you’ll see, and he played well when called upon last year. Whether it’s his last stop or not this year, we’ll see, but Verbeek is likely to receive some calls on him, as goaltenders start getting hurt.
