That was probably during the 21-22 season where Husso had more starts and substantially better numbers such as his .919 save PCT vs. Binnington's .901. I think making fun of posts like that 3 years later where the tide has shifted would be very disingenuous because at the time, Husso definitely should've been the playoff starter.
Nah, Husso was always a flash in the pan and people who have a clue know Binnington should've been the guy all along.

I remember people here told me he was better than Binnington and deserved to be the playoff starter. LMFAO, maybe I should dig up those posts

No Wings fan posted that, which is all Leprospector cares about. He shows up to anything Red Wings to crap on it.

Wow, what a let down. One poster who said he was hoping to have a goaltender between Reimer and Husso who doesnt suck and one poster who said he looked good for 3 games.

You held a torch for years over this?

Pretty lame.
I have opinions others don’t share. I remember them when they get brought back into the news cycle and I get proven correct. (It happens frequently)

I literally quoted it from the Cossa thread. Go look at your fellow fans receipts.

why would they take on 4 mil of cap for the rest of the year if not? Was pat just doing Stevie a solid?

Cap doesn't mean much to lower cap teams at the end of the season, as it isn't the full cap hit.

I just read that, and it didn't say he was good, it said he was on par with other teams poor goalies. It also one example not many like you are implying.

Also you said great, which that poster definitely did not.

This was in relation to when he was on the Blues and the Binnington haters club annointed Husso.

I would dig up the posts, but I almost feel bad for how much shit they've already had to eat after the 4 nations

What you said Wings fans said, was not what you quoted. Words have meanings. Post better please.

Seems like a dumb argument to die on for you, just admit I was right in October of 2023 by saying Husso wasn’t good and we can move on. Or are you going to let your pride get in the way?

Saying a goalie had a good game is not the same as saying they are good. Any goalie can have a stretch of good games. You are just embarrassing yourself in here trying to dunk on a very lame and near non existent point.

The Ducks may be looking to move impending UFAs such as Dumoulin and Fabbri, but need to stay above the salary cap floor. Otherwise the cap is not a concern for them. For the cost of just over a million in salary, they've shored up what's been a sore spot all season (AHL goaltending) for the stretch drive and given themselves wiggle room above the cap floor to sell impending UFAs.

What pride? I never said he was good at all and the stuff you claim was said, wasn't even said.

That will be my last post with you on this, because you are like a little kid who wants his cookie and can't have it.

Husso has never looked the samd since his injury about half way through his first season with the Wings.

I think this says the Wings are confident in Cossa as the #3 if we need someone up long twrm down the stretch.

It also frees us some cap space for either a deal or to keep Kane's extras to this year.

Figures, you’re worse than my wife when it comes to saying “you were right”

First thought was a Gibson trade and I've been dying to see that return for a few years now.

Now I'm thinking Yzerplan is kicking in and Stevie y made some cap space for himself in a strong move.

Rough year for Finnish goalies.

Sucks suchanek got hurt because he would've got a lot of ice time in the AHL.

Good move by Yzerman. But confused on Anaheim and will stick to my initial guess that Gibson is next.

my hope is that with additional cap detroit can now take on a big expiring cap hit
that comes with a good draft pick , i dont want anything to do with spending futures for
playoff help as this roster isnt near ready
