Yes I did.

This was in a discussion about Cossa, where I said Husso wasn’t good, and Detroit fans were praying Cossa pans out. This poster responded by implying Cossa was just as good as Fleury/Gustavsson, Bobrovsky, Cam Talbot, Joonas Korpisalo.
I assume you are mixing up Cossa and Husso in the latter part of your post, but I have not heard any Wings in the last 16 months say that Husso is good. Most of us has wanted him gone for a good while now.

Fans is plural, you provided singular.
Fans.
Husso has been good with us and Reimer has looked fine from my viewings so far too. Team defense matters far more than goaltending. Key is just to have one that doesn't suck.

hoss made several excellent stops last nite including a breakaway , played a rock solid game . showed lateral quickness youd never think a big man could have . 3rd game in a row he has looked rock solid

So we're basically copying Vancouver who drafted Elias Pettersson when they already had Elias Pettersson, and now we traded for Future Considerations when we already had Future Considerations from the Walman giveaway.

I would guess another trade is coming well before deadline. Copp out long term, Rasmussen shorter but they need a center almost immediately. If Cozens or McCann are still on the block I wonder what it would take

I remember people here told me he was better than Binnington and deserved to be the playoff starter. LMFAO, maybe I should dig up those posts

That was probably during the 21-22 season where Husso had more starts and substantially better numbers such as his .919 save PCT vs. Binnington's .901. I think making fun of posts like that 3 years later where the tide has shifted would be very disingenuous because at the time, Husso definitely should've been the playoff starter.

That's a really nice cap move by Yzerman.

I wonder if he's going to spend at the deadline? They certainly have cap space and assets. With their recent record and sitting in wildcard 1 spot I'd like to see them be aggressive at the deadline and go for a playoff spot. Wings have been out of the playoff long enough.

Fighting for a wildcard spot isn't something GMs spend assets on, and Yzerman is preaching patience. So I do not expect any significant TDL acquisitions. Saving a couple of cool million in cash isn't bad though.

Why not just call up an ECHL goalie to be the AHL backup for a min? Why take a big contract for nothing? Should’ve made Stevie pay for doing this.

Buteyets is the ECHL goalie

The AHL tandem was supposed to be Suchanek/Clang.

Gibson/Dostal
Suchanek/Clang
Buteyets

Then an injury wiped out Suchanek's season so he was replaced with Dansk. Now we've seen Clang injured, and Dansk has been called due to Gibson's injury.

Dostal/Dansk
Buteyets were the only healthy bodies remaining. Now we can have Husso carry the load in the AHL

As far as taking the salary, the Ducks may need it to stay above the floor, if moving a comparable salary like Dumoulin
