I disagree somewhat. I don't think Berard and Fast are even remotely the same kind of player. Berard is a better skater than Fast can even dream to be. Fast has the higher defensive acumen and pedigree. I just can't put a finger on Berard's offensive upside. That will dictate his contributions at the next level. His skating, forechecking, and backchecking abilities alone will make him an NHL'er, though.
