Am I really going to sit down and watch a full season of Rangers hockey at this point in my life?

I used to watch every game. Religiously. Now i watch as much of as many games as i can. Ill check the score in the morning if i have to.

While i love the Rangers, my entire life and personality isnt based around them anymore.

This is where I'm at too. I still watch as many games as I can, but they have to fit into my schedule; I don't build the schedule around them anymore.

Im in this boat as well, although Im a big DVR user.

If i cant watch it live, which i prefer - Ill watch the recording and buzz through some sections of the game to speed things up. I do this with Football and it saves a ton of time. Especially with the 30 second forward button. It literally takes you snap to snap or faceoff to faceoff, most of the time and you are cutting out all of the down time.

I hate watching the Rangers Rewind/Rangers in 60 because you can see when the telecast is going to end and then surmise by the remaining time if someone will tie it up to go into OT or shootout etc. Not to mention MSG sometimes scrolls the FINAL SCORE at the bottom of the screen. ?? Ruins things completely. Im the type of person, if someone or thing spoils the final score Ill just watch the highlights.

But I will say I am extra invested in making sure I tune into all of the MSG telecasts because its Sammys final year. I want to enjoy and soak in his final season doing play by play.

Yupp. Same. I used to build my work and class schedule around the games so I wouldn’t miss a second. Of course I still try very hard to watch as many games as I can, and they are always a nice treat if I don’t have anything planned.

Hey fellas, this guy he thinks he’s better than us!

But yeah we’re taking mom out for her anniversary so I’m not even going to be able to watch the game. Will def be checking the GDT, honestly I find that more fun than actually watching the games these days anyway

I watch all the Rangers' games and almost all of the devils' and islanders' games as well. I'm usually doing something else like work or steam deck at the same time while the games are on the big monitor. Sometimes I'll rewatch with full attention a Rangers' game if it was a banger.

Yes I will. Just about every game as usual. I've been enjoying the run of good regular seasons. Lots of time spent enjoying wins. Long playoff runs are fun too. For me a win is a win even if metrics say we lost.

I'm not able to watch any Rangers games that are on NHL Network (not on YouTube TV) or against the Canes (I'm in their market, they're blacked out), but I try to watch all of the other games, or at least parts of them. It's a bit hard these days with a chaotic 3 year old in the house.

Make sure you don’t have kids and if you do don’t have them play competitive AAA Hockey. If you do, you will be lucky to catch 1 full game a week.

As a new father and husband, I couldn't no matter how much I want to.

But it won't stop me from posting my dumb comments on hfboards. #dedication

Yes I am. Season 65 for me.
Good stuff Bob ! I was not so lucky and had to mostly use AM radio from ages 11-30 with a sprinkling of CBC Saturday night telecasts against the Habs or :Leafs and some playoff series games . From 92 onward after a 5000.00 investment in a honking big satellite dish I might have missed 3-5 games and likely a couple because of DR vacations . I remember being at the bar and watching and cheering in the 94 Finals while slightly intoxicated and Gerard Gallant and his buddies standing a few feet away and all cheering for the Canaucks....as was everybody else in the bar LOL...good times !!! I would love another 94 . I guess it adds up to 52 yrs of being a fan .
