Paul Coffey coaching one of the tightest defensive units in the league is certainly something.

I guess if you play long enough, you learn all sides.

Coffey has been excellent, I believe he played under Bowman as well.

Solid game from Picard. He made some huge saves to bail out the team.

The Oilers PK has seemingly gone in the absolute shitter again which has to be a huge cause for concern.

Also, how many times is it now that the team has blown multiple goal leads in the third period?

I know we keep piling up points, but these have to be huge red flags with the playoffs looming.

There should be no feeling good about how this game ended.

Nice pass in overtime though. He's never bad for too long.

Team has been playing poorly for a while now and is getting lucky. I don’t like it. I’ll at least sleep well knowing some of the Golden Knights watched this game and are gagging as we speak.

I don't think it's a big deal. Flu bug going around, dog days of the season. The fact that they're 5-1-1 in their last 7 despite playing to like 50% of their capability is a good sign IMO. The southeast swing coming up should get their attention I'd think.

I still think Podkolzin needs to be replaced with a winger with speed and a bit of size with more skill AKA another top six winger

Summer pickups Skinner and Arvy step up with solid games. Definitely Skinner's best game as an Oiler with his good offensive instincts hitting the scoresheet including one goal driven by strong defence positioning in the o-zone. Arvy finally showing that shooter's touch with a goal scorers goal. Of course their games come running alongside this year's Hart and Rocket Richard Trophy leader.

Take the W. This team looks sick and bagged. Some bad habits creeping into their game. PP is dormant and PK with some dips. Late play a bit sloppy closing out periods. Giving up leads against bad teams can be overcome ... but better teams might be a different story Emberson with a little dip in his play.

Try Henrique on a line with Skinner and Leon. I just don't see the point in paying him 3 million to be a 4th line center.
