2nd game in a row that a BS call and a subsequent PP goal ends up changing the momentum in the game. Then the refs put away the whistles. A preview of the postseason. We need to be an elite ES and PK team if we are to win the cup.
Not a surprise, exact same garbage refs as St. Louis

I said it a million times this year ... Knoblaugh has been a stubborn ass with his handling of the offense.

Jeff Skinner should be sitting on 14 or 15 goals right now probably, and not trying Arvidsson on the McDavid line was also dumb when he had previously scored immediately there.

Klingberg looks good moving the puck I have to say. +3 tonight.
I'm not an expert on Skinner's play all through the season but from my eye he's evolved a lot, and for the better. I'd say Knoblauch handled him the right way. The time spent on the bottom six and press box may have done him good

Here’s a scenario since I know you love these. Knobloch intentionally broke skinner and forced him to rebuild his defensive game. Now skinner has played his way back up and could finish the season strong and have a big playoffs.

Possible if he does find chemistry and we have a big playoff run that he does another cheap one year and absolutely explodes next year with 40 goals. He’s that kind of a guy.
Hopefully RNH is his next project.

Jesus Christ overreaction.

Second half of a back to back and he’s sick and you’re worried he’s declining because he got hooked on the hands on a breakaway and didn’t get a shot off?
no, im worrying he's declining because he hasn't looked like McDavid since Nov 23. (minus the playoffs) He is not making good decisions with the puck and not beating anyone 1 on 1. He's staying away from the inside and not dipping his shoulder and beating Dmen, leads to me to believe hes hurt, but still. Peak Mcdavid might be behind us.

For someone who watches every oilers game, she seems adamant that the oilers are the "league princesses" despite that clearly not being the case.

It’s probably behind us, but dipping his shoulder and driving the net like that is a stupid play in game 54 against one of the worst teams in the nhl

It's a dangerous game to play that, you honestly have to give Jeff Skinner a lot of credit because a lot of veteran players would have pouted and complained and things could have really gone south in that position.

We are fortunate he has a happy-go-lucky attitude and doesn't seem to be phased by that, that's a credit to him, but that's a rare attribute for a player in his situation.

Knob needs to learn from this as a coach. You can't just fall in love with the same 2-3 offensive line go tos like that. The offense becomes stale and you're under using the talent on your team. Good defensive coach, but man that was some brain dead offensive deployment. J. Skinner had been playing well for a while and was getting healthy scratched after games where he scored a goal and Connor Brown was being played on the top line over him, lol. Like c'mon.

This is a good veteran team that knows how to win. Obviously some stuff to clean up but second of a back to back in a different city and find ways to win both.

Wagon.

Wish Bouch would shoot more.

That 3 on 1, he had a dandy chance to rip a shot up high, but chose to re-dish it back.

Oilers worked hard to try and lose that one  Pretty obvious they were gassed towards the end. Seemed like Nurse's brain went to mush in the final 5 minutes too, just started making terrible decisions all over the ice.

That sequence in OT shows how off Mcdavid is right now though. No separation gear on a partial breakaway, couldn't even get a shot off, and that 3v1 with a guy laying out in front of Bouchard and he still passes it instead of looking for other options. Wish he could take the 4 nations thing off so he could get healthy, because he does not look right at all.

On the positive side - Skinner looked really good alongside Drai. The puck always followed him around in the offensive zone(sign of high hockey sense and good instincts), but with his improved tenacity on the forecheck and backcheck, he's providing more well rounded game that should keep him in the top 6 if Knob puts any stock in rewarding good play(lets hope). Klingberg looked quite good too, he's still a great passer, and his skating looks miles better than it was before the hip surgeries.

Oilers have to make an easy win so difficult lol.

Great game by Jeff Skinner with his 2 points and developing some chemistry with Leon. Keep them together BUT get them a winger who has size and speed.

Arvidsson good game as well with his goal.

Hopefully both stay consistent
