Talked about a ton but Gilmour to the Leafs really turned the franchise around. 1991-92 Toronto was 10-25-5 before the trade, then went 20-18-2 the rest of the way. Not great of course, but the real dividends began to show the next season, with Toronto having their first winning season since 1977-78 and making it to the Conference Finals, again for the first time since '78. Gilmour was a finalist for the Hart and won the Selke trophy, while setting a franchise record for points and assists in a season.
