OT: All Time Fantasy Discussion Thread

You left me no choice. I wanted Blake, but you stole him from me.

I literally was about to tag you specifically and ask how Lafleur slipped passed you lol
Thought I’d get him with my next pick. Figured this would be a heavy 90s draft but I guess the great Habs are too well respected

You guys keep taking guys who peaked in the 70's and we're going to have a real good time.
27th all time in points, 3 Art Ross’s, 2 Harts, a Conn Smythe, and consistently ranked in the top 10-20 players of all time.

So I’m having my own good time here watching the all time greats fall while some guys are taking chumps from the 90s wings teams :sarcasm:

I’m certainly partial to the 90s guys because of my age, but you can’t pass up the all time greats.

You take all the skinny-fat mid-game chainsmokers you want. ;)

Nah, I'm just f***ing with ya... It's not really an argument that's fair to make given the circumstance.

I have a hard time evaluating guys from different eras.

You have to respect the greatness of the past players, but you also realize the speed of the game has increased throughout the years.

Yeah it's obviously hard to compare players from different eras, but I think the best way is to compare dominance against their peers. And someone like Lafleur was as good as it gets.

For sure. Lafleur is an all-time great player. No doubt about it.

I have more trouble evaluating guys from 60’s on back. Because as you go further back, there’s less teams. Which, makes it easier to win awards.

Although, my Nono always tells me that the teams were more talented back then because it was harder to make the NHL, with fewer roster spots.

I have no issue with Beliveau as my 2C. The legend of legends.
