Although, my Nono always tells me that the teams were more talented back then because it was harder to make the NHL, with fewer roster spots.

I mean to make an even remotely accurate era relative comparison that didn't immediately skew towards the modern era, given the overall evolution and advancements of humans in that time, you'd have to take SOOOO many factors into consideration. Which goes to show you, you gotta evaluate players in their own context (or completely ignore most of history like me).

I should have taken him instead of Sundin. I wanted him more, but I wanted a big 2C behind Stastny and after Lindros went I felt the walls were closing in on Mats.

Well you’ve got a hell of a one-two punch down the middle now.

I always felt Sundin did really well in Toronto considering he didn’t have an elite team around him. His legacy would of been greater had a stayed inside the Avs organization.
