I'm not trying to hate or talk smack, genuine questions; what interests people in getting a Tarasenko or Kane jersey? They're both only going to be here for a few months.

I’ve had a blank hawks jersey since the winter classic & been wanting to get a name on it. Might as well get Kanes since he’s here for now

Already got a blues tank one. Glad I can wear it out more now haha

Not to my limited knowledge. Starter had a red version, and a black version with the Rangers diagnol lettering.
I have a few of these fashion jerseys. I remember when black jerseys were the cool new trend and I wanted the Rangers to wear them so badly.

So I just bought a new shesterkin adidas jersey for my son and a panarin reverse retro and i compared them to my “indo edge” nash jersey and my authentic edge 1.0 lundqvist jersey and man, what a difference in quality. these new adidas “authentics” are garbage compared to these other jerseys. the material is so much lighter and the other jerseys just feel so much more substantial. now, i know those jerseys were more expensive at the time than these current jerseys, but i’d rather pay that extra money to get a better quality product.

are these new adidas ones very similar to the on ice jerseys or are they very different? i know the reebok ones were at least very close to the on ice ones, in fact my Lundqvist edge jersey is made in canada so i’m sure that one is almost identical to the on ice ones.

Very different in quality. In comparison to true on ice jerseys, I'd say the adidas retail jerseys fall somewhere in between the Reebok premier jerseys and the Reebok IndoEdge jerseys.

The quality for the price is not there with Adidas....

I wonder if Fanatics is just going to be the be-all end-all once Adidas runs out their contract. They're stretching very far through everything to do with sports apparel, equipment and memorabilia.

I hope not: I’m not a big fan of their stuff despite having a good amount of their jerseys.

For an average collector or someone that just wants a jersey they are great though.

Hey guys, what website or store would you recommend getting an Authentic jersey right now? And what size is recommended for a 6’1” slim male? Don’t want it to be too baggy.

And avoid CoolHockey like the plague

How slim are you? The sizing & cut of the jerseys kind of suck, they flare out at the bottom too. You'd probably be between a 46 (S) & 50 (M).

6’1, 175lb, 32 inch waist

Was thinking I’d probably do the 46, yeah

I’ve been checking hockeyauthentic all season but seems like they’re never in stock? Am I just now checking often enough?

I was just looking at my collection the other day (20ish jerseys, mix of authentic etc...)

The 85th Heritage (Dubinsky "A" authentic) is the nicest damn jersey in the collection.

I've also got two (of the 1st) winter classics (Richards and Callahan) that I bought at the Garden as "authentic". They were odd, though, in that they didn't have the fight strap but everything else about them "felt right". I remember those jerseys being really, really difficult to find.

I agree- those 85th's are very sharp looking. I have an authentic 2.0 Cally which has quite the story behind it. I will gladly share the triumphs and tribulations of that (and jersey collecting in general) if anyone is insterested. I also have an authentic 2012 WC which were very hard to find at the time, however, by some stroke of luck, Cosby's had one hanging from the ceiling that spring in my size (46). I couldn't believe it- I had him do the customizing which looks great although the nameplate material may not be 100% correct. I wasn't as well versed with all the nuances of that jersey at the time but I'm fine with it.

I have attached pics for your viewing pleasure.

Yeah - my two WC's are identical to the above - patch on the shoulder, collar lettering, nameplates, made in Canada, etc... just no fight strap. It was weird. They weren't priced @ "Premiere" pricing either and I got them at MSG.

My Dubinsky is identical to your Callahan as well ("A").

Wait a second, you have a retail Edge 2.0 85th? JFC. I've been looking for an issued or worn from 2010-11 since I wanted a 2.0 version of the actual 85th anni version. Great fiind.

Yeah- I found a 2.0 with the Reebok wordmark on the back. I had a guy remove it and put a Vector I had from another 85th on it and had the patch and hem numbers done as well. Believe it or not I actually had another 2.0 that got ruined by Cosby’s before this one.
