Maybe not a jersey, but here is something pretty awesome and my story that goes with it.
On November 3rd, 2016, I attended my first ever Rangers game. The Rangers played the Oilers and we won 5-3. This was days after my birthday and I got a game-used Brassard stick from friends for my birthday. I flew back a week after the game and the airline lost the stick! I spent days on the phone trying to track down the stick. I called JFK, I called the Keflavik airport in Iceland, but nobody could help me find my stick. 2 months later, the airline told me to email them a receipt of the stick and they would reimburst me for it. A day later, I got $500 in my bank account.
I contacted Steiner, where my friend bought the stick, to see if they had another Brassard game-used stick. I explained the whole story, how I went to New York to see my first ever Rangers game and that I got the stick as a birthday present, and how the airline lost the stick. Unfortunately, they didn't have the stick anymore, but they did have some pucks from the game. They asked me if I was interested in one of the pucks to make up for losing the stick. Hell yeah! Out of the pucks they had, I went with the one from the game-winning goal. Gave them the address of my friend and they sent the puck. Due to me travelling for work a lot, she held on to the puck for a few months. A week ago she decided to send the puck with some other stuff to my house and yesterday it arrived.
Now, here's the icing on the cake. 2 days after the airline reimburst me, I get a phone call from Iceland. I answer, and this very lovely lady tells me they found the stick. It was put in storage in an office and the person then quit and forgot to hand it over. They found it while cleaning the office. It was still wrapped and they overnighted it to Amsterdam, where the airport personnel received it and drove it over to my house to hand deliver the stick.
Here are the photos of the puck!
