Just wondering what people have paid to have a jersey stripped, cleaned and restitched. I got the sewing company from sportsk and was given a price of 115 total, 50 to strip and wash, 65 to stitch the jersey. Anyone have a cheaper option. I'd do this, but if it can be done for much less, I'd love to see what is available.

Buy a seam ripper and do it yourself. Its really easy to do.

EPS does the whole thing for $90 I believe.
Exclusivepro.com

They have done an excellent job pon two jersies for me (home Blue and Heritage)

I'm going to get quotes from the other options, such as EPS and ArenaWear. Thanks for the input and the responses! I have a couple of those Chinese knockoffs and that can be nice, depends on the cut, but nothing feels like the Indo jerseys that the NHL players would use.

NHL players use the Canadian authentics - a step above the Indo authentics I'm lead to believe (don't own one yet).

Having said that there's a huge noticeable difference in quality between the Indo edge and the Indo premiers.

I had mine done at EPS, much cheaper than the sportsk quote....they did an excellent job.

I just checked my invoice and it was $90. I had a Drury stripped and turned into a Hayes.
I don't know if they used the same #3, but it looks really good regardless. The nameplate is perfect and that seems to be the trickiest part about duplicating what Arena Wear does for the actual team.

BTW, they also do lettering on the Blue liberty. I've seen people ask about that in this thread before. if anyone is interested.
I am considering getting an old Avery stripped and re-done. Too bad Brass never wore the liberty or that would be an easy job just adding a new nameplate.

Don't think they use the old numbers. I had a stadium series cally I was thinking about turning into a McD. I asked if it would be cheaper to do that since they could reuse the #2's. They told me they don't leave the old numbers on there so I went with a Staal instead.

So Arena wear says that type of lettering is meant to stay on and isn't taking anymore orders right now. EPS says they can only remove letters if there is some stitching on the inside. If there is not, I'm going to see about removing those myself and having it stitched after.

This is true

This is also true. My last two jerseys are on ice authentics (made in Canada). I'll never go back to replicas ever again or get an Indo after seeing the difference in quality.

Kind of a strange question, but any suggestions on getting a jersey for a puppy/dog? We are getting a puppy in the next few months. He's going to be named Henrik so naturally I want to get a Lundqvist jersey for him

Isn't there a nameplate?
Perhaps the letters are glued, but usually the nameplate is stitched.

Yea, there is a nameplate and in fact the lettering, even though vinyl, are stitched in some capacity. The front letters are 100% glued and those are pretty messed up on the jersey. Guy said he couldn't remove it since he cannot profit from it and the chemicals may cause it to damage the jersey. I got nothing to lose if I try and remove them, so that's what I'm going to attempt. Seems like you can iron the lettering and it will begin to peel. Watched some videos on it and it seems rather easy to do. I doubt I could get anything for it since it is a replica and the fact the condition is pretty poor.

Not to derail this thread, but I'm racking my brain trying to think of who that player is and nothing's ringing a bell. I remember a Herbets Vasiljevs who had a cup of coffee with Atlanta around that time but it isn't the same spelling and I don't think he ever played for the Rangers

Looks like a different spelling of Alexei Vasiliev who we drafted in 1995. He played 1 game for the Rangers in 99-00 and spent 2 years with the pack

Bingo.

No different than Jesper Fasth who changed to FAST when he came over. Or Fedor Tjutin who had his Guelph Storm jerseys lettered that way, but changed to TYUTIN when he went pro.

It happens.

Getting a White Brass jersey from Sport SK. Can't wait to wear it for the playoffs.

Felt like adding to my mini jersey collection...

Have Pavel Bure Koho #9 Rangers Royal Blue
Have Royal Blue Reebok plain back

Just bought:
Reebok Lundqvist Royal Blue
2012 Winter Classic plain back

Just felt like preparing myself with a couple of Rangers goodies :)

Posted here before but anyone know of a place to get a cheap blank? I keep checking eBay and can't find anything good in my size (medium).

Cheap is very relative. Can you quantify it so I can look around?
Not trying to be a jerk, but to some people the MSRP price of a premier jersey is cheap, and there are others that are looking for something for $15.
