I feel like I'm living in a movie written and directed by the editors of The Onion.

Have these people never seen the Punky Brewster episode where the little boy drinks poison and his sister who cant read has to call poison control to read the label to the dispatcher?

How long before ipecac flies off the shelves?

In January I had a rash that two doctors couldn't identify. It started with two welts on my chest, they got bigger and were itchy. The weird thing is each day I got a new one - all on the left side. They steadily went from my chest right down to below my knee. The doctors were baffled.....here is a picture. I also had a low grade fever for about two weeks while this progressed.

Maybe not related at all to COVID but I remember the one doctor saying it is most likely a virus but not anything they had seen before - she was probably close to 60 years old so that is a lot of experience.

Hell baby

........I just started having that exact skin condition on my hands over the last couple months......just got prescribed steroid cream. My roommate has something similar. We both had a pretty bad chest cold we gave each other this winter.

That is certainly interesting. Huh.

My wife's been dealing with a rash for a few weeks now, not ever having anything like it before. Unfortunately, doctors wont see her...I think it's possibly the virus, she is brushing it off as unrelated (???).
She is presently helping out in Northwood (retirement home) in Halifax, which is exploding with 100's of cases and deaths of Covid, so they're testing employees twice a week. She is expecting her results within the next coulple hours.

We just hit 50,000 Covid deaths.
Nearing more than the American lives lost in 20 years of Vietnam War. Just for perspective.
Alas, we still have a long, long way to go.

And 600,000 short of what heart disease killed in 2019.

Lots of sobering mortality numbers when you take a look at all deaths in a year broken down

Im also thinking of just never going back.
The key for me will be the ability to go in person to Mass Health Connector office in Worcester when it ultimately reopens.
I need to know what health insurance will cost me.

so many questions aren`t there Wally? For me, it`s not just about health although that is the #1 reason as I`m simply one who isn`t nearly as receptive/anxious as others to believe we are anywhere near done with this horrific virus as I believe science and those who present their findings based on science and what I am hearing, I don`t like.

Right now I am taking some free courses through Work BC. One is a fairly basic computer course on Excel/Access and Publisher. While I have worked with all 3, only used excel extensively however, wherever I have used it, the program and it`s formulas have all essentially been in place. What I really want to learn is how to set up a spreadsheet determining say a Profit/Loss report. Again, I totally understand how to read/interpret one, just no clue how to set one up on my own.

I think the restaurant biz will be a shell of itself upon re-opening, I think most restaurants will drastically reduce seating capacity to ensure tables 6 feet away from another minimum, meaning staffing levels will be drastically reduced. I think, based on the unemployment rate right now in Canada that once those restrictions are lifted, there simply won`t be nearly the number of people who are financially able to afford a night out at a restaurant/movie etc....

I honestly haven`t a clue what I will do once restrictions are fully lifted, a part of me is concerned, another part of me is excited as I believe now is the time to seriously get off my ass and work harder/smarter at making the career change I need

Hubris is a dangerous disease.

This is a wake up call to America that things are so broken behind the scenes that we need to really think about meaningful change on so many levels: health care, education, social safety nets.

Still, I challenge the guy in charge. Make America Great Again? Finally....... here’s your chance.
You can’t make chicken salad out of chicken shit

sadly he’s not capable
