I enjoyed it. You cant take it seriously -- and don't know why you would anyway. If you just sit back and relax and watch some amazing players, it's a good time.

For all the people wondering why the Nashville fans were booing Kane so hard...all you need to remember is that the Preds organization went out of their way in last year's playoffs to keep Hawks fans out of their building...and their fans bought into it

You guys really do try way too hard sometimes. It's pretty simple why they boo him.

Just curious : what's wrong with the predators organization trying to improve their product for their fanbase? Going to your team's home game and being surrounded by obnoxious fans from the opposing team seems like a ****** way to spend your evening.

Please tell me that John Scott chose to wear the All Star jersey instead of a Coyotes or Habs jersey as a **** you to both teams. That would make my day.

And I loved in the shoot accuracy drill, when Malkin had 3/3, then he had the crowd get loud, and then he completely failed on the 4th shot when he the the crossbar.

Pronger LOVED it. And he got booed as much as anyone in NHL history.

I think Subban has already surpassed him. He gets booed anytime he carries the puck in an opposing arena. It is mostly a testament to how good he is as a player.

I so loved Pronger for his villanous ways. He is like Jim Carey mixed with the devil. A bad bad guy that just loves his role. Also one of the very best players to ever lace em up the *****.

Too many forwards in this year's hardest shot.

On the side: looking at 2009 class of participants: Souray, Weber, Chara :amazed:. Three of the hardest shooters in my young time.

The fans showed their affection for Scott right off the bat during the player introductions, and it was predicted by the player standing next to him, Patrick Kane of the Chicago Blackhawks.

The Nashville Predators fans in the building also had a special welcome reserved for Kane, which Scott thoroughly enjoyed with a hearty laugh.

"I was dying," Scott said. "[Kane] said, 'Watch this, I'm going to get booed and you're going to get the biggest cheer.' So I knew it was going to happen. That was so funny. I liked that."

Kane maybe a fan favorite in Chicago, but he still has some hearts and minds to win over in Nashville.

Both Scott and Kane were able to laugh off the event.

“We talked about it before,” Scott told reporters. “He said, ‘watch this, I’m going to get booed.’ We had a pretty good time with it and I thought it was pretty funny that the fans booed him.”

Kane also took the crowd’s reaction in stride.

“Every time, throughout the night, if we were doing interviews or getting introduced, it was always back-to-back so you either hear a lot of boos and then a lot of cheers or a lot of cheers and then a lot of boos. It was pretty funny.”

I figured due to his weight he would have a pretty hard shot but what surprised me was that he hit the net.
Scott said he was nervous and just thinking about not making a mistake. He says that in the past he's been able to get up to 98, 99, sometimes 100 mph.

I heard he actually wanted to wear his AHL team jersey but the powers that be nixed it and has him just wear the All-Star jersey instead.

John Scott wanted to wear the jersey of his AHL team but the NHL firmly told him no

One of the early winners from this year’s NHL All-Star weekend is without a doubt Pacific Division captain John Scott. Scott endeared himself to the fans by being himself and by making his family proud. Scott’s a very likable guy. Scott even proposed that he should wear his St. Johns IceCaps jersey because he currently plays for them in the AHL.

The NHL told him no. After all we’ve heard, you can’t be that surprised.

Rewatched a lot of the Scott's stuff and I am really happy for him that everyone is giving him a nice time (fans, journalists, players...). He was one of the only reason I wanted to watch the ASG to begin with and he really made this event better, he's an easy guy to cheer for. I really really hope he can find a way to get back onto an NHL roster :(

Pierre ruins these things for me now. He tries too hard to make this into some sort of Super Bowl or WWF type event.

He runs around asking players how much fun they are having.

He's like the insecure lover always asking "are you okay?" during.

He's flat out creepy. I think he's a knowledgeable hockey mind, but the way he runs around hanging from each players strap just feels weird. He's too creepy for my taste.

Same here. It was actually one of the more enjoyable ones for me in a long time. Actually looking forward to the game. Haven't been able to say that for quite some time.
