Man, Felix has come such a long way mentally in such a short time. Down 15-40 and he knocks off a bunch of points to win the fame. Feliciano to serve to stay in the set.

Felix played very well, as did Lopez, yet fully deserved to take the tie breaker. FAA's serve was lethal that set.

Felix cools off and a steady Lopez takes the second set rather easily, 6-3.

Felix can't convert 3 break chances at 1-0 to start the 3rd.

2-2 now but errors piling up for Felix.

Lopez breaks at 2-2. Not looking good for Felix right now.

Felix had a break point to break right back but way to passive and another error.

Lopez is basically just letting Felix beat himself.

Lopez breaks for 3-2 in a set that has seemed pretty much his for the taking.

Though he certainly has had no shortage of break points to play with, Felix looks like he has hit a wall. Concentration isn't close to the same level that it was in the first set.

Felix is scheduled to play Eastbourne next week. Not a good idea, especially given the amount of tennis that he has played the past two weeks,

Lopez won here a couple of years ago, and he has a good chance of doing so again against Simon. Once again, two oldies going at, though this time both are unseeded.

Disappointing loss for Felix, but it doesn't tarnish the immense progress he has made on grass over the past fortnight.

Agreed. That said a lot of young guys take some time to realize the need to manage their schedules. He's a fast learner and he'll learn to better deal with the grind of a 10 month season as well.

So one 37 year old has won Halle and another one is a set away from winning Fever Tree (Queens). This will stop someday, right?

Why does Rafa always skip the 500 and 250 grass tournaments? So frustrating! No wonder he always gets bounced at Wimbledon.
I've wondered about that, too. Worried about the legs, bad slips. that sort of thing?

And Lopez has done it! Delighted to see two fellow 37 year olds triumph as a 37 year old myself, though as Kihei said this will not go on forever.

Lopez wins in a tie breaker that somehow seemed almost inevitable from the first game of the set. Simon played a superb match, but ultimately lacked the fire power to defeat Lopez on grass. While it might not have been the final that they wanted, Queens' fans really got their money's worth today.

After not mustering so much as a single break point in the first set against Goffin, Roger takes the subsequent tie breaker and second set easily. Just another day at the office for Federer.

Barty at #1. Hope she stays there awhile because she is so down-to-earth and likable. But, did anybody see this coming? Despite her solid all-court game, I sure didn't.

Steve Johnson, the worker ant of tennis, has a relatively easy time (6 and 3) with the giant Opelka. Opelka's serve is hard but flat, thus not much of a problem at this level, and he is not used to playing on grass upon which he looks like a giraffe on ice a good part of the time.
