5-0 now, this is hilarious although I feel bad for the Brazilian fans in the stadium.

I'm very happy that all the bandwaggon fans in the Market are currently dead silent

I'm pretty bummed that this match was over in about 20 minutes though, I was expecting great things

I guess Germany has gotten over that flu bug that's been bothering them.

Seriously though, where has Brazil's defense been this game? Hard to put this on Cesar with how the three back are playing.

Maybe the third goal I'd put squarely on him. But he got a piece of it, just not enough.

Argentina knocked out my two teams by playing some of the most insipid football I've ever had the displeasure of watching

I hope Germany kicks the **** out of them

Sorry Messi, you ARE the best player ever but your national team sucks

Meh, they had to do what they had to do. Dutchies have been no world beaters in the knockout stage either. Some very elite defensive skill from both sides today though. Ron Vlaar was a beast, not sure what he's doing taking penalties though.

When you look at it, every top team in this World Cup has been disappointing at times.

- Brazil were downright awful at times, basically gifted a win vs. Croatia. No one who could score outside of Neymar (lol Fred.) Complete meltdown after one German goal.
- Germany was meh vs. USA, had lots of issues with Algeria, survived the match with Ghana.
- Argentina have been doing the Spain 2010 thing. 1-0 wins, some very late.
- Netherlands needed lots of Arjen Robben diving, a (legit) last second penalty, and penalty kicks to reach the last four.

Doesn't even include Spain's group stage performance, Italy's non-existent attack vs. Uruguay, England being England, and Portugal's collapse vs. Germany.

Can we just have James Rodriguez take the field for someone in the final? :D

The Kane and Toews contracts looks great when you compare them to NBA contracts. Melo just got $129 mill for 5 years from the Nicks, yeesh.

Well, the NBA has become more of an individual than a team sport. In hockey, we have role players/depth players who make decent money while in the NBA the contenders have 2-3 stars making upwards of 16M and the rest making minimum...

So glad the diving Dutchmen are out. Germany shouldn't have too much of a problem with Argentina with Di Maria out and Zabeleta + Rojos looking pretty beat up. Despite his incredible performance Mascherano looked concussed in that last match, so hard to say how he'll be. I just don't see how that Argentina midfield will supply the ball for Higuain, Aguero and Messi through the likes of Schweinstager and Kedeira.

I didn't expect Argentina to beat Holland without Di Maria either but the dutch left it to penalties and that was their own fault for being so negative throughout the game.

Robben didn't miss that. Mascherano had an all-world tackle.

Plus, this is Arjen Robben we are talking about. He's well known for not making his chances count in big matches.

He made an extra touch that was too far which is completely uncharacteristic of him. And yea, he failed to deliver when it counted again.

I don't know if Cleveland fans will truly forgive Lebron unless he gets them a championship, and I don't think he will be able to.

I don't know, he did leave them for 4 years but came back. He's the best thing since Michael Jordan. I think they embrace him, but unless he brings them a championship he won't be regarded as quite the legend MJ was with the Bulls.

I think Cleveland fans will forgive him... I don't know about the media, though.

Or the owner. Lebron's relationship with Gilbert seemed all but irreconcilable all but 3 months ago. I don't know how Gilbert will do a 180, I imagine he's begrudgingly ok with Lebron coming back due to his skill, but I wouldn't be surprised if there are still acres and acres of sour grapes between the two.

I have always thought that Lebron wanted to stay in Cleveland, but the media pressure just got to him; he needed to win a championship or he was a failure. He wanted Chris Bosh to join him in Clevelnd in 2010 but Bosh wanted to go to Miami. It is his home after all, fans there will definitely forgive him

Unless he goes on a hot run at the end here, Fritsch has a maximum of three more PGA events this season.

Canadian Open
Barracuda Championship (same week as WGC event, only counts for half FedEx points)
Wyndham Championship

All that remains in the season this year are those three events, the Open Championship, PGA Championship and the four playoff events.

If Fritsch doesn't crack the top 125 in FedEx points (came into this week ranked 183rd), he should still qualify for the Web.com Tour playoffs.
