If management Isnt sold on him , he seems like a serious vault for an add on in the 1st rd for the Leafs pick ,Extremely impressive from Misiak. Most of us were low on him at this point. But elevating your game for the playoffs is going to raise some eyebrows amongst the organization.
Brantford also moving on to the next round.
Misiak does not have value to other teamsIf management Isnt sold on him , he seems like a serious vault for an add on in the 1st rd for the Leafs pick ,
He went second round back in the day because he had a big USHL playoffs. Nice to see he plays his best in the most important games.Extremely impressive from Misiak. Lardis went between the legs on his second goal lol. Just a stupid talent.
Same age as Crevier and Vlasic (older by a couple months). Welcome to the log jam. He’s under contract one more year in Sweden. Basically the deal is he comes back to the nhl, he has to come here. Not sure how it works with his reserve rights. He was a qualified RFA that signed in Sweden after his elc expired.Victor Soderstrom – the d-man the Hawks picked up in a trade with Utah at the TDL – has been named the top defenseman in the major Swedish Hockey League (SHL). He’s a good skating RD who just turned 24 in February. He was drafted in the first round by Arizona in 2019 with the #11 pick. He played 53 games in the NHL and over 150 games in the AHL before going back to Sweden to play the 2024/25 season in his home country with Brynas.
After the Hawks acquired him I watched a couple Brynas games to get a look at him and my first impressions are he’s a very good skater and puck mover who is cool under pressure. He’s only 5’11” but he’s 185lbs and his skating should mitigate his size somewhat.
I think we may have another pretty good young d-man to add to the young prospects group.
Walter Clayton is fearlessFor anyone that watched the final four, Florida was lead by a player that had 34 points to take them to the national title game. He wasn’t a big recruit out of high school. The reason is that in high school he was primarily focused on football and originally planned to play D1 football until pivoting towards basketball as his primary focus. Hoping for a similar trajectory with Spellacy.
Not officially yet but everyone seems to view BU as a done deal. Probably announces after Frozen Four.Anyone hear any news on whether or not Boisvert made his decision on where he will play next season? Hopefully he decides to go to Boston U.
Yeah. We need to hit on some of these to really get the rebuild accelerated. If 2 of them pan out we are in good shape after this draft.Hawks midrange picks of late (Spellacy, Pridham, Mustard) have been excellent
Powers with a very nice feature on Pridham ($): Blackhawks prospect breakdown: Jack Pridham takes advantage of new NCAA rule in OHL
Just from watching your clips, you seem to have a good understanding of how to use your size and reach. How’s that coming along?
I think kind of using my speed and my size … that’s something I’ve gotten better at … and continue to put size on too. Also, I think I’m not done growing yet either. I think I can still add one or maybe two inches. My mom’s side is real tall. I have a 6-foot-5 uncle. My grandpa was 6-4. My mom is 5-9, which is tall, too. Hopefully can add a few more. I’m 6-2 right now, which is good. I think just growing into my frame has been good and something to look forward to as well.
All three seem more like 2ndersHawks midrange picks of late (Spellacy, Pridham, Mustard) have been excellent

Most interesting part of that article for me.
Pridham can easily still be growing.
Same with Elite Prospects.I just checked the CHN Hockey News website and they have Boisvert listed as a 2025 commit at Boston U.
They also have 7 other Boston U. commits projected to go in the 1st couple rounds of this coming draft. Two of them are projected to go mid-to-late first and may be there for the Hawks 2nd 1st round pick - Jack Murtagh - a 6'1"/198 C/LW, and Sascha Boemedienne - a 6'2"/183 LD, and then several in the 2nd round that sound intriguing - Carter Amico - a 6'5"/234 RD, Conrad Fondrk - a 6'0"/192 C, and Charlie Thetheway - a 6'2"/196 RD.
Hell - let's draft them all and have a Hawks farm club at Boston U.
