All-Purpose Prospect Thread v17.0

I see Vanacker's a big game player, very nice :)

So what are the opinions on Misiak? His recent heater is getting significant. I pretty much wrote him off coz no offense, but he could be developing back into the picture.

Misiak is already signed so I have no problem giving him a year or 2 with the Hogs. But I'm not hoping for much from him. I've watched a few games of him between the World Juniors last year and prospect showcase games and he's been invisible in all of them.

I like him, honestly. Plays hard and honest, big smooth skater with flashes of big time skill. Could easily be a better pro than say Lardis for example

Misiak seems slighlty unmotivated. He also seems to be able to turn it on when the games mean something . Misiak seems to be soft and injury prone at times, then can play very tough, bordering on dirty. His skill set is very good and a big body , hopefully it's just a question of him maturing , He is kind of a head scratcher. A better version of Colton Dach ?

In the end he is still a 20 year old still playing in the CHL the absolute minimum he should be doing at his age is dominating that league at that point which he hasn’t even done that on a consistent basis

Not necessarily a precursor to NHL success. Misiak I don't think was ever projected to be a scorer. Warren Foegele wasn't a PpG player his final year in the OHL, has turned into a solid middle-six forward. I remember liking Misiak's first NHL camp. He looked like he had pro habits. But, I also wasn't a fan of the pick at the time.

His team got eliminated, had over a 0.8 PPG in the K this year. Very solid D+2 season. He's not being "punished", that's silly. Only SKA (who has a dumb coach) does that kind of nonsense.
He had like 0 goals after the 25 game mark or something, he def did hit a wall or his usage slipped

he had 13 goals on the season, the last of which was on March 15th, you don't gotta freak out
I dont have access to the stats but im pretty sure its like 1 goal in his last 25 games or something. He had a great year as a whole and tailed off bad at the end.

No one's freaking out, idk why you have to get so defensive over stats lol

Kantservov has hit a wall or has he been punished with the thought he is leaving Russia soon?

I watched most of his games and his overall jump and engagement was consistently good between the first half of the season when he was scoring very well (for the KHL) and coming down the stretch when his scoring was less. There were somethings that worked against him such as linemates being out with injuries but for the most part it may have been something like the whole team suffering from championship fatigue after winning the Gagarin Cup last season - it wasn't just Kantserov who seemed to fade at the end of the season.

He is still the same player he showed last season and in the earlier part of this season and I am still very hopeful he will be an impact player for the Hawks after his current contract is up after the 2025/26 season.

I’m not defensive. I’m analyzing the bow as a whole and not overreacting. You freak out too much.

For anyone that watched the final four, Florida was lead by a player that had 34 points to take them to the national title game. He wasn’t a big recruit out of high school. The reason is that in high school he was primarily focused on football and originally planned to play D1 football until pivoting towards basketball as his primary focus. Hoping for a similar trajectory with Spellacy.
