Brantford wins 5-1..not their A game but still thanks to Kardis's efficiency of beating goalies the score differential is big as he gets 3g 1a..

As I said.. thisxwas not Brantfordcdonubaribgca game..notvtheirctoo effort or sharpness..2nd line with Vanackerxand OBrien had a quiet game offensively...but Vanacker did hit a cri
Oss-bar...failed to convert on a PK break-away and had several key shot blocks when the 67s were pressing in tge Brantford o-zobe.. Brantford goalie Leendrs played welk making somecey saves...the late Ottawa only goal was not his fault, as a Brantford dman made a horrible give-away ...

So Brantford dod not play a great game but when you have a star beating goalies when he shoots it makes it easy to mask a pretty bad team effort not upto theirviwn standards.. thatvis what Lardis can do..makevitceasy forc his team Onan "off" game to still leave with a lop-sided win..

Is Lardis a skinny fast soft Alex Ovechkin? Here I thought Bedard was gonna be Hawks leading goal scorer for the next decade….

He's fast and he doesn't play a physical game but he's not skinny - he's 5'11" / 185lbs - and remember how well he did against his peers at the 2023 Prospects Draft Combine when he was "skinny" at 168lbs - he placed 1st in several events (including chin ups and vertical jumps) and several other top-10 finishes. He's a quick-twitch athlete.

Bedard scored 71 in 56 games...in his DRAFT YEAR.

Lardis is lighting up the OHL as a 19 year old. We are all cheering for him but he has a long way to go.
yeah, Bedard and Lardis are the same age (Lardis is like nine days older). Bedard actually had a higher GPG in the WHL two years ago than Lardis in does in the OHL this year. Which is less a knock on Lardis than a reflection on how absurdly good a Junior player Bedard was. Also does show how scoring projections are difficult when you hit NHL (particularly on a bad team).

Roman Kantserov with 1a today..Had 1a last game too..BUT ober lsdt 10GP ZERO goals only 4a and -6...falling off the cracks?

Playing through an i jury? What has happened to bom in this rough stretch?

Again I didn't see anything noticeably bad/wrong with him in the game today. I know it's not right to continue to blame other players or circumstances but that's all I got. I was complaining for weeks that his centerman Zernov was playing like crap to the point that it seemed like he was trying to freeze out Kantserov like he was jealous of the attention he was getting. Then after Yurov went down with an injury Coach Rezin was line juggling where he even played Kantserov at center, Today Zernov was demoted to the 4th line and Luke Johnson (yes, that Luke Johnson), who had been 3C/4C, was Kantserov's center on the top line.

North Dakota being bad really weirds me out. How is it even possible that they aren’t a top program. I figured when Boisvert went there it would be a sweet system and program. He’s more like a one man show over there.

Boisvert’s shot is lethal. Quicker release than Wyatt Earp pulling his gun, and the puck flies off his stick faster than a six shooter’s bullet through the air.

That’s an elite pro shot all day long.

Gotta think he’s got one of the best releases of guys not playing in the NHL

Feeling very good about that pick. Hawks may have found one with a developmental pick in Boisvert

Anyone seen Rinzel play lately? How is he doing. His point producing has calmed recently. Last game he was in third pair but does he play any pp time?

Rinzel is not a 3rd pair.

He plays on the top PP unit but the coach at Minnesota pretty much evenly splits the 1st and 2nd unit PP time. He takes a regular turn on the PK. He struggled a bit in his own zone after play resumed from the holiday break but has cleaned up much of those issues. The points are not coming as much but he continues to get his chances and the puck is not going in for him.

Thanks!

I thought this says third pair or do I read it somehow wrong?
