Recently saw grades given to the Blackhawks prospects over at Second City Hockey website..
Pretty brutal assessment ...but I want to comment on the B grade they gave Kk and the B- they gave to Levshunov..
My fact observations..
Point production is close...20 points for Kk and 19 for Levshunov
..but Lev has 4 goals to just 2 forKk.
They had the audacity today that Kk had improved on bad habits he learned playong in the Show lsst sesson when he wss not ready.. but the fact he is -20 is slouched off as an aside that his defense is still atrocious...while Lev who is ONLY -3 got criticized in almost everything except puck transport into the o-zobe where they admitted it was ekite level..but he got lambasted for just over-shootong...that this was his only method of attacking to create scoring...shoot and let pther clean up the rebound message the net or drflect his shots in
..The fact he gets shots through to the net is ignored as a good thing to do when other dmen Hawks have get shots blocked or they go off the net...but I think the harsh critcism _disatus faction they have with Lev is that he does not use his teammates well ...little passing to find open forwards ...no vision...not making smart plays or controlling the puck in o-zone for lengthy time looking to then feed open forwards.. just shoot only..and that such a game will fail at NHL level because there shotsxwill be blocked and so lossesion given up quickly .. also that Lev follows up own shots and leads to getting caught deep and leads to easy transition 2 on1s or breakasays for the opos.
Anyway...really hard on Lev and disappointed he is not syarting as expected.
May not be able to rina Pp only by shooting...maybe if he had 12 goal or more by now proving a deadly shot they woukd say ol...great piintvshot..but instead with only 4 goals they are just saying not so great even if getting through on net at thecAhL level is fine but obviously will not happen at NHL level..
However it seems to me...despite allhis flaws they pint out,that a -3 on a Rockford squad stripped of better talent (Nazar and Slaggert in NHL and even with them not much else was thete) ,that defensively Lev has not realky been hurting the Icehogs much at all...
Ge must be doing something right defensively to be only -3 given high minutes played.
WHILE KK at -20 seems like a lost cause to ever be in the Show..
If KK somehow seems to be "looking more confident " offensively but it hardly shows in his points tgen what real value is crediting looking good when it produces little resukts..As for his atrocious defense they merely ignore this is his grade?

The LEV hate must be residue disgusting that KD passed over Demidov who is annoited the next big NHL star already.
