Yes , I was switching between Brantford game and Minny vs Michigan State . Vanacker played good game , very very abrasive . both Goalies played real well .

Moore Zero points Even ...but justc6/17 on draws..

Friday Minn tied 3-3 with Michigan State...Moore had 1 primary assist but was 9/21 on draws...Rinzel had Zero points...

For the weekend therefore Moore was dominated on draws 15 for 38...not good if he wants to be a Center for the Hawks ...even on 3rd or 4th line.Very disappointed in his "progess" ...


As you can see it was not a good weekend for Rinzel either going -3 over the 2 This all vs. Top competition as Michigam State ranked #3 in the NCAA before these 2 contests ..Minn. came in as #1 before this weekend battle for the top.

Sometimes I fantasize about what adding a prime Toews to this team would look like. I've only seen highlights of Boisvert but maybe he could be a Toews lite? He sure fits the profile but sometimes we forget that Toews did EVERYTHING well. He says he follows his game after Kopitar and they were similar players.

I would guess he follows a similar path to Nazar. He plays in college another year, maybe gets a world juniors in, and then gets a cup of coffee with the Hawks at the end of next year. He'll get a shot to make the team after that but will likely begin with the Hogs in 26.

The is completely false. Outside of this one video where he's critiquing actual plays, I don't recall him having anything but positives to say about Nazar. He also absolutely loves Moore and had him 5th that draft.

I think everyone is taking a one game breakdown and treating it like his definitive scouting report on Nazar.

Also someone, not you, mentioned earlier that he's a stat watcher that doesn't watch games. This is a hilariously false statement if you follow him. He does track his own stats from games he watches but its not typical stats, it's stuff like success rate carrying the puck into the zone. He also mentioned a week or 2 ago that he doesn't adjust his rankings based on the stats and they are supplemental to the games he watches. Maybe he was more of a stat watcher a few years ago before I started following him and that's what the poster is referring to, but that's not the case now.

Since they failed to list him in the stats summary even though they showed his assist in the scoring sumnary,I could not find out what he did that game on faceoffs....so his real number on draws to date might be up or down a bit.but safe to assume he is still around 45% ...

I believe Michael Misa if we do not Dman Mathew Schaefer by winning#1in the lotto ,and who could be our pick at #2or#3,is at is 54.3% ondraws...

Wasnt too impressed with Spellacy in that game. Expected him to be one of the best on the night especially with London missing their top guys. Has the speed and the will, just didn't see the pure talent I was hoping to see. Could have been an off game for him.

Spellacy has only been fully focused on hockey for a couple of years (was a legitimate d1 football prospect). He’s VERY raw
