Is there a way to get someone to ask the coach at Minnesota to compare Rinzel's game to Faber's game?

If the Hawks want to sign and burn Rinzel Moore, James, Greene, Lardis, Thompson, and Harding the end of this year is gonna be so messy in a good and bad way. They need to clear out a ton of bodies on NHL and AHL.

We gonna be tracking like 12 guys pro debut.

Lardis won't be in the NHL, he'll go to Rockford. He's coming from the CHL and he's already signed.

Thompson and Harding are definitely not guys you need to provide NHL time for to entice to sign. If they won't sign, they're free wait it out and become UFAs.

James I don't see getting NHL time either, but who knows. Maybe they keep him on the roster and throw him into one game.

It's really just Rinzel, Moore and Greene.

They're not comparable players really. Faber is a average-sized shutdown D with some offense. Rinzel is a big, toolsy transition D with some offense and a much less refined defensive game.

I’m gonna guess Moore goes back

Do you watch his games? How's he been this year? Him and Snuggerud were paired together to start the year, now split up and he's not been producing much to start the year. Obviously a bit different with Wood transferring over and getting off to a hot start.

I'll chime in if you don't mind. I respect the opinions of @TLEH but disagree in this case.

Wood, Snuggerud, and Moore played on different lines 5x5. Moore centered Brody Ziemer and August Fallon. Wood and Snuggerud were on the 1st PP unit.

Moore played on the 2nd PP unit and took a PK rotation. He had a short handed chance in the 3rd that beat the goaltender but hit crossbar. 10 of 14 on draws. He was a puck hound and great on retrievals for the 2nd PP unit in the second period. Had a play in which he shot when he should have passed and also wiffed on a shot.

Not much different from last year except he's centering a line of freshmen.
