Yeah it's pretty clear where they are going with most major stories (which is fine)

Only question mark I guess is who Roman faces on night 2. Cody? Rock? HHH swerves us with someone else?

I think its Cody. I just don't believe they could make it work with Rock with his filming schedule and the insurance costs.

No one else really makes sense but Cody

If Dwayne is involved, they already know whether or not they can do it. It’s just a matter of whether or not anyone else does.

I hope it’s Cody at this point. Just so he can go super stale within 48 hours of winning the title at WM

This is 100% what will happen. He’s just an unlikable character to me.

No matter what promo he cuts, he always comes across as super phoney.
Seems like an actor playing a wrestler. I didn’t like the majority of his AEW run but I still have a lot of respect for him though…tough not to after that match with 1 pec

Thing with Cody is that he is great at telling stories. He was a GREAT babyface at the start of AEW. His feuds with Dustin, Jericho and MJF were very compelling. Once he bought his own hype, it went to shit.

If they put him in the right story, he will deliver and it will be fun. Sure, the promos are not that great, but he can make it work. But give him too much freedom and it will backfire.

If anything, you can "steal a house" with his coronation story. After that, he will end up back in the midcard.

For sure. I enjoy Cody as a worker and he is indeed a very good story teller.

There's just something about him on the mic where I always, even if he's full on babyface... I just feel he's so full of shit. The fake cry, all this stuff he does just seems so damn forced.

I agree 100%. He comes across very phony.

So now Regal is indeed going back to WWE?
Now Im seeing it may be bullshit. Just another name like Miro, Black, Andrande that people thought was going back
Not according to today's pwinsider.com:

All signs are that William Regal, 54, will be World Wrestling Entertainment-bound shortly. Although we have heard nothing official from the company, there have been rumblings within WWE of late about Regal returning in a backstage role. That would mean Regal would be exiting AEW, where it certainly appeared that he was written out of storylines last night on Dynamite, having been attacked by AEW Champion MJF.

Regal broke into the business in Europe in the early 1980s before being signed to WCW in 1993, where he had 4 World Television Championship runs. Regal had several runs in WWE over the years, initially as the forgettable "Man's Man" character before hitting his stride after getting sober and having runs with the WWE Intercontinental and European Championships as well as winning the 2008 King of the Ring Tournament. His WWE autobiography Walking The Golden Mile is among the most underrated wrestling books of all time.

In 2014, Regal began focusing primarily on WWE's developmental, appearing on screen as an announcer and as the NXT General Manager but behind the scenes, he had risen into one of Paul Levesque's trusted lieutenants. Eventually given the official title of WWE Director of Talent Development and Head of Global Recruiting, Regal was regularly traveling to major independent events to help scout talents and bring them into the WWE fold. He was a major sounding board for talents inside and outside of WWE and was pretty much considered to have a job for life until Vince McMahon dismantled the Paul Levesque black and gold vision of WWE NXT.

Released along with many other Levesque staffers in January 2022, Regal moved to AEW. He debuted in March 2022, playing off his real life past as a mentor to Bryan Danielson and Jon Moxley. This led to the official formation of The Blackpool Combat Club, which eventually added Wheeler Yuta and Claudio Castagnoli. Regal turned on Moxley to set up MJF's AEW title victory.

Vince McMahon's resignation from WWE and the return of Paul Levesque to power obviously set the stage for this likely return as Regal was long considered one of Levesque's top Consiglieres.

More as we confirm officially.

Does he join Schism or whatever or does he go to the main roster

On the topic of schism I cant tell if Ava Rain is pretty cuz everytime I look at her its the Rocks face 😂

Eric Young coming back is essentially the equivalent to getting an extra celery knob with your wings.

He will come back, get zero reaction, and be a jobber within a month or two. On his way out of WWE literally no one cared.

Don’t know that he’s there to be anyone important. Not everyone is intended to be a needle mover. I think Triple H will have other stuff for him backstage.

I love me some EY, Violent by Design has been pretty good. He basically made Cody Deaner and Doering so that’s impressive

Wasn't he recently discussed as having recovered from surgery and possibly returning to television? The guy can't catch a break and should take the hint his in-ring career is over.

Rock/Roman rumors heating up.

I still prefer it's Cody winning the Rumble, but I also get it in the end. Rock/Roman is a blockbuster match up. One of the biggest matches you can do from a draw perspective. And this might be the only chance to do it.

It's not my preference, but I'm OK with it and think the feud could be really entertaining and add new layers to the Bloodline

I think I posted about him posting pictures at a doctor and the pics showed him with bandages on his back. Seems like he might have been dealing with multiple injuries.

I saw this suggested (EDit: not just by EmperorEddy), what if Roman has two matches during Mania weekend? Night 1 The Rock. Night 2 The Rumble winner. The Rock match wouldn't be for the titles but for "family honor" or "True Head Of the Table". Not sure if it's realistic but it's something I could live with.
