Another Sunny update.
from today's pwinsider.com:
There will be a hearing this Friday 5/13 at 10 AM in the Circuit Court of Volusia County, Florida regarding the State's motion to have WWE Hall of Famer Tammy "Sunny" Sytch remanded back to jail after she posted bond and was released following her arrest over the weekend.
Florida State Attorney R.J. Larizza filed a four-page motion on Monday 5/9 requesting Sytch be ordered to pretrial detention, which would effectively incarcerate her until and during her potential trial following her 5/6 arrest for DUI Manslaughter and other charges in the wake of the March death of 75-year old Julian Lasetter during a fatal traffic incident.
In that motion, the State argued that Sytch had violated her probation stemming from three DUI arrests in Pennsylvania on several occasions, leading to that probation being revoked and Sytch being re-sentenced to Pennsylvania's Carbon County Prison. The motion also notes that Sytch has a suspended driver's license in Pennsylvania and has never held a valid driver's license in the State of Florida.
The motion noted, "The State submits that there is a substantial probability that the Defendant committed DUI Manslaughter when she killed the victim on Match 25, 2022. The State also submits that Defendant poses a threat of harm to the community based on criminal history surrounding driving offenses as detailed above."
Sytch will be officially arraigned on 5/31 at 2:30 PM in Volusia County Court. This past Friday evening, she was arrested on nine charges stemming from the death of 75-year old Grandfather Julian Lasseter this past March during a traffic incident in Ormond Beach, Florida, including with one count of DUI causing death, one count of causing death while operating a vehicle with a suspended or revoked driver’s license, four counts of DUI causing injury to a person, and three counts of DUI causing damage to property. Authorities had been waiting for the full results of her toxicology to be returned before moving forward with criminal charges.
Sytch is currently out on bond after a bail bondsman put up 10% of the $227,500 surety bond needed for Sytch to be released. Court documents list Sytch's boyfriend James Pente as having put up his property as collateral.
